CONOR MCGREGOR has appeared to suggest a shock showdown with Logan Paul has been FINALISED. The Notorious revealed earlier this month that he was in preliminary talks over an exhibition boxing match with the YouTube sensation. And the 36-year-old has suggested the fight - which is set to be financed by Indian billionaire Anant Ambani - is on the brink of being announced. Veteran MMA journalist Emmett Glenn reported on Sunday that McGregor is now gearing up to face the social media sensation in a Mumbai melee next year. Glenn also reveale d both men are set to earn a whopping £200MILLION ($250m) each for the South Asian slugfest. The crossover clash is said to be set to take place at the Wankhede Stadium and will be part of the country's "Visit India ' tourism campaign. And McGregor seemingly confirmed Glenn's report by quoting his post on X with a Indian flag and a love-heart emoji . Casual and hardcore fight fans were quick to comment on the seemingly done deal, with one saying: "$250M each for an exhibition fight? "That's more than most world title fights pay!" Another said: " Money talks, $250M is crazy for each." BEST FREE BET SIGN UP OFFERS FOR UK BOOKMAKER S And another said: "I'm tired of these gimick fights. Dude is scared to go back into the UFC." One remarked: "Holy s**t that will be wild! $250 mil each??" Another chimed in: "Lots of money for a boring fight." YouTube phenom Paul added even more fuel to the fire by liking an Instagram post citing the report. It was revealed last week that neither the UFC nor the WWE, who McGregor and Paul are respectively contracted to, have been approached about the bout. Both entities, however, are under the TKO Group Banner - meaning the possible punch-up would be incredible easy to make. Former two-division champion McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021. His next outing be his first since being found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin Hotel in December 2018. The Irishman - who was accused of "raping and battering" Ms Hand - has vowed to appeal the verdict of last month's civil trial at Dublin 's High Court . THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY.. Reform UK says it has gained 20,000 grassroots supporters in the four days since accused of faking its membership numbers. The party surged past 150,000 paid-up backers on Sunday, with insiders saying the row with the had contributed to a spike in sign-ups. Mr Farage told The Telegraph that many Conservatives were privately “deeply embarrassed” by her actions and renewed his call for her to apologise. Reform’s on Sunday showed that the party had more than 152,000 signed-up grassroots supporters. That was up by more than 20,000 on Boxing Day, when the party said it by exceeding their tally of 131,680. It means that Reform now has the second biggest membership of any political party in the UK, behind only which has 367,000 supporters. Reform sources said the row sparked by Mrs Badenoch had “helped” propel the surge in new membership sign-ups over the past few days. In posts on X, earlier this week Mrs Badenoch accused Mr Farage of “fakery” and of bombarding the public with “endless lies, smoke and mirrors”. Reform then invited several media outlets, including The Telegraph, to examine the system. That demonstration provided strong evidence that the ticker was based on verified membership data logged in real time through a third-party website. Zia Yusuf, the party chairman, has since openly mocked her over the spike in support following her claims, telling her: “Thank you for your service.” Mr Farage has demanded that she apologise for the claims and has threatened to take legal action against her if she refuses to do so. He told The Telegraph: “Many of my friends who are still in the are deeply embarrassed by her behaviour. I await my apology.” The party had 40,000 members in June, when Mr Farage returned to lead it into the , at which it won over four million votes. Since then it has gained a further 110,000 supporters in less than seven months, adding backers at a rate of 15,700 every four weeks. If it were to keep up that pace of sign-ups, Reform and become the UK’s biggest political party in February 2026. The party only hit the 100,000-member mark at the end of November, meaning that it has added 50,000 new supporters in the space of a month. , a former Tory minister who defected to Reform earlier this year, said that Mrs Badenoch’s claim the figures were faked was “immature”. She said: “They’re worried because they realise that the more activists you get, the more leaflets get delivered, the more your messaging gets out there. “Now it’s gone too far and what Kemi did in virtually accusing Nigel of fraud, I think that’s trampled on any potential relationship.” It comes after a major poll released on Sunday showed that Reform is on course for a major parliamentary breakthrough at the next election, winning 71 MPs. Six Labour Cabinet ministers including Ed Miliband, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change. Separate claims emerged on Sunday that Mrs Badenoch has privately complained to the boss of over the coverage it gives Mr Farage. He has a primetime show on the channel which also features other presenters from Reform including Lee Anderson, one of the party’s MPs. According to , the Tory leader has urged Angelos Frangopoulos, the channel’s chief executive, to cut their airtime. The paper said she told him at a meeting before Christmas that GB News shouldn’t be “a haven for my critics” and raised the spectre of regulatory action. Allies of Mrs Badenoch strongly denied the reports, insisting they were “nonsense”. A spokesman for GB News said that “the meeting took place without any acrimony and was very constructive”. In response, Mr Farage said: “Kemi talks about competition being a good thing but now we see that she wants me taken off air. “Maybe her first priority should be to go on GB News today and apologise for calling me dishonest. Her two days of silence is deafening.” Mr Anderson said the story showed that the Tories were “rattled” by Reform’s success.Coimbatore:Until 2000, Coimbatore was a small town with only a few apartment complexes. The real estate sector largely remained dormant till 2005, especially after the 1998 bomb blasts. However, a significant boom began in 2006, driven by the growth of the IT sector. The city's real estate development, in fact, closely mirrors its industrial progress. According to Rajesh B Lund, partner, Srivari Property Developers, the city had a very small market in the 1990s, when they were working on residential and commercial projects. "Apartments were confined to a few areas such as RS Puram, Ram Nagar, Saibaba Colony and Race Course until 2000." As industrial development picked up, the city's population began to swell, with people from other districts moving in for job opportunities. Educational institutions and hospitals were established to meet the rising demand. "Professors, doctors and professionals relocated to the city and sought houses near their workplaces and social infrastructures like schools and colleges, leading to the development of areas with such facilities," says Lund. Gradually, apartment culture began to flourish with a clear market segmentation. Today, the market caters to all segments, with prices ranging from Rs40 lakh to Rs7 crore, depending on the project and location. "Even affluent individuals prefer living in gated communities, thanks to the facilities and security they offer. Many villa-style gated communities have emerged on the suburbs such as Thondamuthur and Pappampatti," says Lund. Affordable prices in the city centre and high-quality facilities are attracting NRIs and buyers from cities such as Chennai and Bengaluru as well to invest in the city's real estate. The influx of IT professionals has, meanwhile, significantly increased the rental demand, creating a lucrative market for investors. "Property prices at Saravanampatti have appreciated steadily over the past decade. Kalapatti, once a quieter suburb, has become a hotspot for tech professionals looking for houses," says Lund. Jude Alex, managing director, Synergy Realtors, says the implementation of GST has positioned Coimbatore as a key location for warehousing. "More than 50-60 lakh square feet of warehousing and industrial space is fully occupied. By eliminating interstate checkpoints, GST has transformed Coimbatore into a regional hub for western Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Major players like Amazon and Flipkart have established large warehouses, ranging from six to eight lakh square feet, along the Chettipalayam-Palladam Road to meet regional demands." According to him, leading IT firms are increasingly moving to Coimbatore, thanks to the city's premier educational institutions, skilled workforce, strategic location, excellent connectivity, favourable climate, abundant water supply and superior living standards. "Unlike Chennai or Bengaluru, Coimbatore offers a less crowded and more liveable environment." On property value trends, Alex says, "Areas once considered remote, such as Neelambur, Trichy Road and Kalapatti, have transformed into prime locations, with property prices increasing by two to three times. In contrast, city property prices have grown at a comparatively moderate rate of 1.5 to two times." C R Shivakumar, former president, National Association of Realtors-India, says the real growth in real estate has occurred in Coimbatore only in the past 10 years. "Suburbs near highways are witnessing massive growth, thanks to their serene environment and potential for future appreciation. Vadavalli has become a residential hub, while Kovaipudhur is gaining prominence." He said the upcoming metro and western bypass road projects would further boot the city's real estate sector. US President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he was nominating staunch loyalist and retired general Keith Kellogg as his Ukraine envoy, charged with ending the two-and-a-half-year Russian invasion. Trump campaigned on a platform of ushering a swift end to the Ukraine war, boasting that he would quickly mediate a ceasefire deal between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. But his critics have warned that the incoming Republican will likely leverage US military aid to pressure Kyiv into an agreement that left it ceding occupied territory permanently or agreeing not to join NATO. "I am very pleased to nominate General Keith Kellogg to serve as Assistant to the President and Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia," Trump said in a statement on social media. "Keith has led a distinguished Military and Business career, including serving in highly sensitive National Security roles in my first Administration." A fixture on the cable news circuit, the 80-year-old national security veteran co-wrote an academic paper earlier this year calling for Washington to leverage military aid as a means of pushing for peace talks. Ukraine has received almost $60 billion from Washington for its armed forces since Russia launched a full-scale invasion in February 2022, but with the more isolationist Trump taking over the White House, supporters fear the spigot will run dry. "The United States would continue to arm Ukraine and strengthen its defenses to ensure Russia will make no further advances and will not attack again after a cease-fire or peace agreement," Kellogg's research paper for the Trumpist America First Policy Institute think tank said. "Future American military aid, however, will require Ukraine to participate in peace talks with Russia." Kellogg served in several positions during Trump's first term, including as chief of staff on the White House national security council and national security advisor to then-vice president Mike Pence. Kellogg told Voice of America at the Republican convention in July that Ukraine's options were "quite clear." "If Ukraine doesn't want to negotiate, fine, but then accept the fact that you can have enormous losses in your cities and accept the fact that you will have your children killed, accept the fact that you don't have 130,000 dead, you will have 230,000–250,000," he said. Trump's announcement came as the outgoing administration of Democrat Joe Biden was hosting a news conference to urge Ukraine to enlist more recruits by reducing the minimum age of conscription to 18. Facing a much larger enemy with more advanced weapons and with stocks of volunteers dwindling, Ukraine is facing an "existential" recruitment crunch, a senior administration official told reporters. "The simple truth is that Ukraine is not currently mobilizing or training enough soldiers to replace their battlefield losses while keeping pace with Russia's growing military," said the official, speaking on the condition of anonymity. He was pressed on what Washington considers an appropriate minimum age and he replied that "we think there's real value in them considering lowering the recruiting age to 18" -- in line with the US benchmark. He added that an additional 160,000 troops would be "on the low end" to fill out Ukraine's ranks -- but "a good start." The former Soviet republic's population has fallen by more than a quarter since its mid-1990s peak of 52 million, and authorities are desperate to shield the younger generation -- but a US congressional report in June estimated the average Ukrainian soldier is 40. Zelensky signed a decree in April lowering the draft age from 27 to 25 but the move did not alleviate the chronic troop shortages, according to US officials. ft/bjt
