The blessings just keep on coming for Angel Reese. The Chicago Sky star recently landed another endorsement deal, this time teaming up with digital wallet service provider Cash App. Reese's latest ad was launched on Tuesday and it quickly picked up steam on social media. The 22-year-old shared the minute-and-a-half clip on her own socials, while also poking a bit of fun at her acting skills. In the ad, Reese is asked to discuss the benefits of the app with a nail technician. "You gotta know where your money is and that it's safe when you're growing your business," she said in the commercial. Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images After seeing the final outcome of the ad, Reese could not help but comment on her acting. "Just teasing my acting bag but i’m DEFINITELY securing my FUNDS!! 🤭" Reese posted. She is also an ambassador for brands such as Reese's, McDonald's, Beats by Dre and Reebok, to name a few. On Monday, Reese announced that she's moving to Miami, calling it her " new home ." It appears that the former LSU star will be residing in Florida for a considerable part of the WNBA season. This could be in line with the inaugural season of the Unrivaled league -- a 3-on-3 tournament that has signed the Randallstown, Maryland native as one of its 36 players on the roster -- which starts in January in Miami. Speaking at an event put on by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, Trudeau said that's because Trump's team is coming in with a much clearer set of ideas of what they want to do right away than after his first election win in 2016. Even still, Trudeau said the answer is not to panic and said Canada can rally together to address the tough scenario the nation will face following Trump's inauguration in January. Trump has threatened 25 per cent tariffs against Canada and Mexico, if the two nations do not beef up their borders to his satisfaction. On the weekend, Trump appeared in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press," where the president-elect said he can't guarantee the tariffs won't raise prices for U.S. consumers but that eventually tariffs will "make us rich." "All I want to do is I want to have a level, fast, but fair playing field," he said. Trudeau warned that steep tariffs could be "devastating for the Canadian economy" and cause "just horrific losses in all of our communities," and that Trump's approach is to introduce "a bit of chaos" to destabilize his negotiating partners. But he also said that Canada exports a range of goods to the U.S., from steel and aluminum to crude oil and agricultural commodities, all of which would get more expensive and mean real hardship for Americans at the same time. "For years, Americans have been paying more for their homes than they should because of unjust tariffs on softwood lumber. Maybe this level of tariffs will actually have them realize that this is something they are doing to themselves," Trudeau said. "Trump got elected on a commitment to make life better and more affordable for Americans, and I think people south of the border are beginning to wake up to the real reality that tariffs on everything from Canada would make life a lot more expensive." Experts, including Canada's former top trade negotiator Steve Verheul, have warned the country needs to be ready to respond if Trump goes through with his tariff threats. The prime minister said his government is still mulling over "the right ways" to respond, referencing Canada's calculated approach when Trump hit Canada with steel and aluminum tariffs. "It was the fact that we put tariffs on bourbon and Harley-Davidsons and playing cards and Heinz ketchup and cherries and a number of other things that were very carefully targeted because they were politically impactful to the president's party and colleagues," he said. That's how Canada was able to "punch back in a way that was actually felt by Americans," he added. Trudeau also said the country needs to rally together and work past its political differences. He offered up some rare words of praise for Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe — a frequent political thorn in his side and "no big fan of mine" — as one of Canada's strongest voices during that tumultuous time period when NAFTA was under threat. "His voice with governors down south, his making the case for Canadian workers and Canadian trade in a way that complemented the arguments that we were making, did a better job of showing what Canadian unity was and (what) Canada's negotiating position could be to a United States that has a political system that is incredibly fractured and fractious," Trudeau said. On Sunday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said "every single Conservative would tell every single American" that tariffs on Canada would be a bad idea — and also took time to bill Trudeau as a weak leader. One member of his caucus, Conservative MP Jamil Jivani, said he had dinner with incoming vice-president JD Vance and British Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch over the weekend in Arlington, Va. He said it's crucial right now to be building "strong relationships with our allies." 2 Oregon men die from exposure in a forest after they went out to look for SasquatchJACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Whoever ends up coaching the Jacksonville Jaguars next season, receiver Brian Thomas Jr. will be the team's most dynamic rebuilding piece. Mac Jones threw two touchdown passes, including his fifth in as many games to Thomas , and the Jaguars beat the Tennessee Titans 20-13 in the rain Sunday to sweep the season series for just the fourth time in 30 years. Jones completed 15 of 22 passes for 174 yards, with most of those going to Thomas. The first-round draft pick from LSU finished with seven receptions for 91 yards. His 11-yard TD catch with 7:05 remaining gave him his eighth game with at least 60 yards and a score, tying him with Hall of Famer Randy Moss for the most by a rookie in NFL history . “Brian just keeps impressing each week,” said Jaguars coach Doug Pederson, whose future with the team remains cloudy. “You can't say enough good things about Brian.” Thomas also became the fifth player in Jaguars history with double-digit TD receptions in a single season, joining Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, Marcedes Lewis and Reggie Williams. “It's definitely a great feeling to be able to do some of the things I did," Thomas said. “I don't even know all of them. But some of them I heard, just a great accomplishment.” The Titans (3-13) improved their position for the 2025 NFL draft — a potential chance to land a franchise quarterback — and secured last place in the AFC South. The Jaguars (4-12) guaranteed themselves third in the division. There was little else at stake in this Week 17 matchup. Jacksonville looked as if it might make it a blowout, but Pederson’s squad settled for field goals while building a 13-0 lead early. The Titans got back in it with an 85-yard drive to start the second half, which ended with Mason Rudolph’s 8-yard TD pass to a wide-open Nick Vannett. Tennessee kicked a field goal late to make it a seven-point game and got the ball back with 1:29 remaining. Rudolph drove the Titans to the Jacksonville 26, but safety Antonio Johnson knocked down his fourth down pass at the goal line to end it. “He was staring down the receiver the whole time," said Johnson, who was benched earlier this season. “Once I saw him pull the pin, I just broke on it and just got the ball on the ground. ... To seal the game felt good.” Rudolph completed 19 of 31 passes for 193 yards, with the touchdown and an interception in his second consecutive start in place of Will Levis. The Titans have lost five in a row and seven of eight. “I hope they’re not numb to it," coach Brian Callahan said. "I sure am not. ... It’s terrible. There’s no joy in this process. There’s no fun in this. It’s terrible. I feel it every day I walk into work. I feel it every day I stand up here in front of you guys. "Nothing is enjoyable about this, so I don’t get numb to any of it, and I hope nobody gets numb to it. And our job is to try to fix it. We’ll do whatever we can do to fix whatever problems we got to fix, to add whatever players we have to add, to make sure that we have a better football team moving forward.” Jacksonville’s Josh Hines-Allen moved a step closer to the franchise sack record. Hines-Allen sacked Rudolph in the third quarter, giving him 53 for his career and leaving him two shy of tying Tony Brackens’ team mark. Boris Cheek became the NFL’s all-time leader in games officiated when he took the field for the Titans-Jaguars game. Cheek officiated his 461st game over 29 seasons, passing Walt Coleman for the top spot. Coleman officiated 460 games over 30 seasons until his retirement in 2018. Titans running back Tyjae Spears was evaluated for a concussion late in the third quarter. Spears, who wears a protective “guardian cap” over his helmet to help prevent head injuries, ran 20 times for 95 yards. Tennessee had to turn to third-string right tackle John Ojukwu after backup Jaelyn Duncan left in the first half with a shoulder injury. Duncan started in place of Nicholas Petit-Frere, who was benched last week and inactive against Jacksonville. Jaguars right guard Brandon Scherff (shoulder) left in the second quarter but returned on the next series. Titans finish the season next weekend against division champion Houston. Jaguars play at Indianapolis next weekend to close out another year with double-digit losses. AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/nfl

Is Lattice Semiconductor Overrated? Stock Valuation DecodedChildren’s Minister Roderic O’Gorman said the party could not buck the trend in Ireland of junior coalition partners in Fine Gael and Fianna Fail governments losing support in subsequent elections. He said they expected to retain two to three seats out of the 12 they had won in the 2020 election on the back of a worldwide “Green wave”. “Undoubtedly it’s a disappointing result for our party today,” Mr O’Gorman told reporters in Ongar, Dublin. “It’s hard for a smaller party in government, that’s long been the tradition, the history in Ireland. We hoped going into the election to buck that but we haven’t been able to buck that today.” Mr O’Gorman, a candidate in Dublin West, is among the outgoing Green Party TDs in a battle to retain their seats. Culture Minister Catherine Martin, who is fighting to remain a Green Party TD for Dublin Rathdown, said it was a “very tight” race in her four-seat constituency. “We go in (to government) not afraid of that because the issue of the climate and biodiversity crisis is (greater) than our survival,” she said on RTE Radio. “I stand over and am proud of our track record of delivery.” Green candidate in Waterford Marc O Cathasaigh said he would not be “in the shake-up” to retain his seat in that constituency, while junior minister Ossian Smyth looks at risk of losing his seat in Dun Laoghaire. Junior minister Joe O’Brien is expected to lose his seat in Dublin Fingal, Neasa Hourigan is at risk in Dublin Central, while Wicklow’s Steven Matthews garnered just 4% of first preferences. Former Green Party leader Eamon Ryan, who announced his retirement from frontline politics in June, said his party had not had a good day. Arriving at the count centre at the RDS in Dublin, the outgoing environment minister told reporters: “If you don’t get elected you accept that, but you come back stronger and you learn lessons, and we’ve done that in the past and we will do that again.” He added: “No matter what the results today there will be a strong Green Party in Ireland, we have deep roots in the community and it’s a very distinct political philosophy and I think there is still space for that in Irish politics, for sure.” Mr Ryan said he did not believe his decision to retire, and the timing of his announcement, had affected the party’s showing. “Unfortunately – and this is just one of those days – we didn’t get the number of votes,” he said. He added: “We’ll look back and see what are the lessons, and what can we learn and what can we do differently. “It’s just one of those days when we didn’t have a good day.Climate talks reach endgame on new finance dealJimmy Carter, Peanut Farmer Who Reached White House, Dies at 100

Be the first to know Get local news delivered to your inbox!by Dr Neals J Chitan Grenada is frequently thought of as a leader in the Caribbean region when it comes to revolutions, and I am proud to join the list of greats who had the courage to start revolutionary movements here in Grenada, and in other nations of the region. However, this one is not an armed confrontational coup that topples governments and changes the trajectory of politics, but indeed, one that topples the people’s aggression, anger and revenge factors and breathes respect across our nation. With our return to the Caribbean as international crime reduction interventionists, our work has had a profound impact on thousands of lives in 10 island nations. From Jamaica in the north to Trinidad and Tobago in the south, we have created a behavioural revolution in the minds of thousands of students, youth, adults and prisoners over the past 5 years, and we thank the Cabinet of Grenada for the opportunity and mandate to create that same revolution here at home. Although we were set to join local crime-fighting stakeholders in St Lucia on 15 May 2024 and again respond with the second phase of “Project STOP ‘n’ THINK,” with Grenada in the pangs of gun violence, we were sought by Minister Gloria Thomas and then Permanent Secretary Naomi Jeremiah of Ministry of Social and Community Development to engage our Canadian copyrighted flagship crime reduction programme “Project STOP ‘n’ THINK” as an antidote. On 27 May 2024, the Cabinet of Grenada considered and ratified their decision through Cabinet Conclusion #354 to roll out a “Project STOP ‘n’ THINK” community intervention programme across 7 communities on mainland Grenada with immediate effect. Unfortunately, although our high winds of social change began blowing across 8 communities in June 2024 preparing for a 1 July 2024 launch, Hurricane Beryl chose that exact date to blow her devastating winds across the northern parts of Grenada, devastating up to 95% of the sister isles of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. As Behaviour Modification Specialists our focus was immediately changed from crime fighting to trauma intervention joining the ministry’s psychosocial team to support our people of the sister isles in July and August. As a result, “Project STOP ‘n’ THINK” (PSAT) Crime Reduction Train made its first stop in the community of Telescope, St Andrew on Sunday, 1 September 2024, starting a weekly community cycle of crime reduction and community empowerment for the next 3 months. On Mondays, we headed to River Sallee, St Patrick, on Tuesdays into Gouyave, St John, on Wednesdays to Victoria, St Mark, on Thursdays to Carenage and Four Roads, on Fridays to Corinth, St David with our final stop on Saturdays at Mont Tout, St George. This exciting weekly journey saw 247 individuals attending our PSAT programme as they were immersed in a 3-dimensional life-changing experience. Beginning with the first four high-impact sessions of our copyrighted pedagogical social skill curriculum, we led participants through Self-Discovery and Self-Affirmation. Then moving on to the second 4 sessions we continued the journey taking them to Self-Control and Self-Regulation and finally ended with the last four powerful sessions of Self-Achievement and Self-Motivation, a journey embellished by laughter, excitement but deep soul-searching and life-changing concepts. Indeed, on Sunday, 1 December 2024, hurricane winds of social change came blowing across Grenada, igniting a social revolution as 201 “Project STOP ‘n’ THINK 2024” graduates (75% males) walked across the elegant halls of the Grenada Olympic House, to receive their Canadian Social Skill and Crime Reduction Certificates, thus creating revolutionary history once again in the Spice Isle!! We commend those who came out to celebrate and bring congratulatory remarks and encouragement to our PSAT Graduates. Among these were Minister Gloria Thomas, PS Petal Rush, Chief Magistrate Francine Foster, Magistrate Sabina Gibbs, QC Ruggles Ferguson of the Grenada Bar Association, ASP Richards-Coordinator of Community Policing (RGPF), Keynote Speaker Pastor Dave King, and Dale Neptune (NEWLO). However, the most impactful response was done by a self-proclaimed gunman Stephen (Shorty) Cyrus of the Carenage (the uncle of the late Wangy) who took to the microphone dressed in his official STOP & THINK T-Shirt, and for over 15 minutes spoke of the impact of the sessions on his life and his passionate plea to the young men graduating to STOP and THINK before killing or be killed, while causing grief and hurt to their moms and communities. In a voice impact message sent to me, Cyrus (Shorty) commented “Doc, you are excellent in changing the mind, and you are starting a revolution of good men across Grenada.” Yep!! That’s what it is!! A REVOLUTION OF GOOD MEN!! I am blessed to be the leader of the ‘Project STOP ‘n’ THINK” REVOLUTION in Grenada for 2024 and look forward to doing it bigger and better in 2025. As we say goodbye to 2024 and celebrate the joy and peace that the first Christmas was meant to bring to our world, I too want to STOP and THINK and say thanks to the Bryden & Minors and the National Lotteries Authority for partnering with “Project STOP ‘n’ THINK 2024” and look forward to more corporate citizens coming on board ‘Project STOP ‘n’ THINK-2025” God bless Grenada and Merry Christmas to all!!
