axiebet88 login register Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has received a boost of support from the coach he is set to face off against, as pressure mounts following poor form. Tottenham is languishing in 11th place in the English Premier League, following a string of poor results including losses to newly-promoted Ipswich Town, Bournemouth and defeat to Chelsea after relinquishing a 2-0 lead. Spurs showed what they are capable of with a rampant 4-0 win over Manchester City in late November, but their defensive frailties have continued to be exposed by other sides. Outside noise is growing louder as Postecoglou's position has come under scrutiny with his side's inconsistent form, and current betting markets has the Australian gaffer as equal third-favourite to be the next manager sacked. The man he shares the $6.50 odds on Sportsbet with is Southampton manager Russell Martin, who comes face-to-face with Postecoglou in the dugout on Sunday evening, local time. The Saints host Tottenham at St Mary's Stadium for a match that could prove to be crucial for both managers, however Martin has offered words of support for his counterpart. “There was so much praise for being so aggressive, so brave, relentless restarts, energy... he did a great job (with Celtic), won lots of trophies, got to the Champions League, goes to Spurs and starts so well. “So, when results are good no one questions the style or his conviction or belief system and the minute it starts faltering it’s always down to that... and I’ll get criticised for the same thing about being stubborn and all that stuff. “But if you believe in something and it’s taken you a certain way in life and on a certain pathway and journey, to deviate too far from that I think is crazy." Martin also said he has a "lot of respect for him" in the lengthy appraisal of his opposite coach. Postecoglou has quickly established a reputation in England for his stubbornness to change his approach to the game and his team, preferring to stick to what has worked for him. His team has also been gutted with a number of key injuries, including vital centre-back pairing Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero. No.1 goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, forwards Wilson Odobert and Richarlison are also injured, while Rodrigo Bentancur continues to serve a seven-match suspension for comments he made in an interview. Tottenham is also without Yves Bissouma and Ben Davies for at least the upcoming league fixture. “We are in a fight, we’ve got a limited number of players to call upon and we’ve got some big games that can set up our season," Postecoglou said midweek following Tottenham's draw with Rangers in the UEFA Europa League. "We just need people to have that level of commitment and application to find our way through."FG reveals why banks must tackle PoS operators, cash scarcityNo. 12 Dallas Baptist pulled away from UT Tyler in the second half of Thursday’s Lone Star Conference basketball game. The All-Women Police, Chintadripet, have intensified the search for eight persons in the alleged rape of a 21-year-old girl. They arrested two persons in connection with the case on Saturday. A senior officer of the Greater Chennai Police (GCP) said the girl, who had learning difficulties, studied at a private college in the city. For the past month, the girl had been suffering from health problems. She told her father that two college students — C. Naresh and M. Suresh of Tiruvallur district — had taken her to a lodge on Wall Tax Road and raped her repeatedly over several months. Based on a complaint from her father, the police found that she had been introduced to three persons, including Naresh and Suresh, by her friend Sandhya last year. Five other persons, who had befriended her on social media, also raped her. The police identified them as Kavi of Tiruppur, Roshan and Karthi of Coimbatore, Pandi of Ambattur, and Mani from Tiruttani. The police are investigating further to determine if more persons are involved in the crime. Last month, her father had filed a complaint with the Ayanavaram All-Women Police Station stating the survivor had been receiving messages from unknown persons on her mobile phone. The police had issued a Community Service Register copy. The police have filed a case under eight Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act and one section of the Information Technology Act. Four special teams have been formed to search for those involved in the crime. ‘Give explanation’ In a social media post on Sunday, BJP State president K. Annamalai demanded an explanation on the way the police were handling the case from Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who is in charge of the police portfolio. “Why is the Chief Minister, who gave lengthy statements on crimes that took place in other parts of the country even before knowing the full information, silent on this issue,” he said. Image via Travis Hunter/Instagram The recent recipient of the prestigious Heisman Trophy and the college football star, Travis Hunter has been having the worst time of his life. He and his fiancee Leanna Lenee has received a lot of hate in the last couple of weeks as fans accuse Leanna of being attracted to Travis’ wealth. This had forced Travis to delete his Instagram account but now it looks like he is back on social media and has found support. Famous rapper King Harris recently shared a screenshot of their exchange on DMs where he reached out to Travis. Leanna has been trolled for a number of reasons - it all started on the day when Travis received the Heisman Trophy and a video went viral that showed Leanna did not stand up as Travis received the award. She also received criticism for a “$” tattoo on her ring finger which many people have speculated as her only reason of being with Travis is his wealth and fame. The most controversial thing, however, has been a viral video which shows Leanna to be dancing “inappropriately” with another man. Neither Travis nor Leanna has commented about this video. Travis Hunter’s Has Had A Great Season On The Field This Year However, Travis’ career is otherwise on the rise. After receiving the prestigious Heisman Trophy, as per reports, he is considered to be one of the top picks in the National Football League Draft which will be held in April 2015. Travis is yet to finish his college football career and will end it by participating in the Alamo Bowl. Due to his decision of participating in the Alamo Bowl, his coach Deion Sanders has gotten him and Shedeur Sanders a huge insurance coverage that also includes disability coverage. Deion has spoken about how this is the largest insurance cover in the history of college football even though he did not disclose the amount. Deion has also shown his support to Travis and his fiancee as many of his Colorado Buffaloes’ teammates. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will not play Sunday and head coach Kyle Shanahan said the lingering discomfort is a concern. Purdy sat out Friday after he participated in the start of Thursday's practice with the 49ers, then retreated indoors for what Shanahan said was a treatment session. Brandon Allen, 32, will start in Purdy's place, and the 49ers are also without defensive end Nick Bosa (oblique). Shanahan said players believe in Allen, even if he's an unknown. "Outside of here people haven't seen a lot of Brandon. But it's his second year (with the 49ers)," Shanahan said. "Obviously guys want Brock up, but guys are excited to see Brandon play." Shanahan said they are "a little surprised" Purdy experienced tightness and discomfort in his shoulder after an MRI exam on Monday that showed no long-term cause for concern. "The way it responded this week, it's really up in the air for next week," Shanahan said of Purdy. Allen is familiar to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, who was an assistant coach with the Rams during Allen's two-year run in Los Angeles. Allen broke into the NFL in 2016 with the Jaguars and is 2-7 in nine career starts. He went 1-2 with the Broncos in 2019 and 1-5 in six starts over two years with the Bengals in 2020 and ‘21. Shanahan said Allen's confidence grew throughout the week and he doesn't anticipate a major change in how he calls the offense. Left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) also missed practice for the third consecutive day. Without disclosing the nature of the ailment to Purdy's throwing shoulder, general manager John Lynch confirmed Friday an MRI exam took place to determine the severity of any injury. Allen worked with the first team most of Thursday and Friday with Joshua Dobbs also taking snaps. Lynch described Purdy's status for the 49ers (5-5) this week as "tenuous." "Hopefully, he makes progress, and we can have a shot at this weekend, but we'll see," Lynch said in an interview with KNBR in San Francisco. "I think it's tenuous." When Purdy was on the field this week, he primarily worked on the side in position-specific drills with QB coach Brian Griese. Williams played through an ankle injury last week after being listed as questionable but exited the stadium with an exaggerated limp on Sunday. Run game coordinator Chris Foerster said the 49ers aren't where they want to be at 5-5 because they haven't won close games, not because of injuries. "Seven games left is like an eternity," Foerster said. "So much can happen. Do the math. What was our record last year? It was 12-5. I was on a 13-win team that was nowhere near as good as the team last year." With or without Purdy, Foerster said the challenge for the 49ers is not to give up the ball to a defense that has 19 takeaways. The 49ers have 13 giveaways this season. --Field Level MediaMan City stumble again while Arsenal and Bayern Munich earn dominant wins

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella changed his cleats just 12 minutes into the game after his slips contributed to both of Tottenham's early goals in the teams' London derby in the Premier League on Sunday. The Spain international ceded possession by slipping on the turf at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the fifth and 11th minutes — and from the ensuing attacks, Spurs scored through Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski. Immediately after Kulusevski's shot hit the net to make it 2-0, Cucurella sprinted to the sideline while shrugging his shoulders and pointed to his cleats. He took them off and threw them away in disgust before putting on new ones. It seemed to work. Within six minutes, he provided the pass that led to Jadon Sancho scoring for Chelsea to make it 2-1. Chelsea went on to win 4-3 — and Cucurella posted a photo on social media after the match, showing the first cleats he wore nestled in a bin. “It almost slipped away,” Cucurella wrote on Instagram Stories, “but proud of the amazing team effort to turn things around.” AP soccer: https://apnews.com/hub/soccer

SINGER Dua Lipa looked sensational as she stripped off to just stockings and a fur coat in a series of sultry new snaps. The Illusion hitmaker sipped on a cocktail as she struck a variety of poses for the hot new pictures. The star wowed in just her black underwear and stocking to flash some flesh. Recently, the Brit Award winner opened up about the struggles she has faced being a woman in the tough music industry. The star – who is dating actor Calum Turner - “You’re always met with some kind of pushback as a female artist. "If you’re not, like, with a guitar or with a piano, just like, ‘Oh, she can’t sing; oh, it’s all processed; oh, it’s this; oh, it’s whatever. “I just think there’s just, like, a stigma around pop music.” The New Rules singer recently released her first ever live album. The record was recorded at her one-off Royal Albert Hall gig in London last month - which recently screened on ITV. The special show saw Dua belt out her biggest hits, flanked by the 53-piece Heritage Orchestra, a 14-strong choir and her own seven-piece band.Indian Diaspora Group Denounces Racist Attacks On Sriram Krishnan, Trump’s AI AdvisorShazam! star Zachary Levi has defended his decision to endorse now-President elect Donald Trump, telling Bill Maher that America under Trump’s first term was better than the past four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Zachary Levi appeared on the latest episode of Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast that dropped Sunday. “The four years of his [Trump’s] presidency were significantly better than the four years of the Biden-Harris presidency and vice presidency,” Levi said, adding: “Our border was more secure, our economy was more secure, crimes rates were down.” Earlier in the conversation, Levi took the legacy news media to task for spreading “bullshit” about Trump virtually non-stop, thus fomenting fear and hatred in their viewers. As Breitbart News reported , actor Zachary Levi — who starred in the Shazam! movies — publicly endorsed Trump in September, saying he believes Trump is the candidate who can successfully “take back this country.” Levi said he had endorsed Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., earlier in the election cycle because the candidate embodied his own distrust of government and unscrupulous corporations. During the “Club Random” conversation, Levi said he hasn’t been cancelled by Hollywood, yet, for backing Trump. “I mean listen, I have yet to see what the ultimate effects of all that are going to be,” he told Maher. “I already had multiple jobs that I was in the process of shooting or that I have yet to shoot and none of those have been compromised. None of my producers or any of the the studios behind those films or projects have called and said, ‘Hey, listen, this is a line too far and we can’t have you associated with the project anymore.'” “We’re all still full steam ahead on those,” he continued. “How it ultimately plays out in the future I don’t know.” Follow David Ng on Twitter @HeyItsDavidNg .
