FMC Corporation announces date for fourth quarter 2024 earnings release and webcast conference callBJP conspiring to delete votes of AAP supporters, alleges Kejriwal NEW DELHI: AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal hit out at the BJP for allegedly conspiring to delete votes of his party’s supporters in Delhi. Sharing videos of media interactions with residents of Shahdara constituency’s Ambedkar Camp and other areas on social media platform X on Sunday, Kejriwal accused the saffron party of dishonestly targeting specific voters. “The BJP is discreetly and selectively removing votes of AAP supporters to win elections in Delhi dishonestly,” he alleged. He claimed that scribes going around the streets of Delhi are uncovering the truth as people openly share their experiences. The AAP chief asked how over 300 votes of people were removed from Shahdara despite the fact that they are living there for decades solely on the basis of complaints made by BJP’s Booth Level Agents (BLA). Citing an example where the names of three family members were removed from the list bearing the stamp and signature of the saffron party’s BLA, he claimed that the BJP was conspiring to win the Delhi election by removing AAP supporters from voter lists. He had earlier alleged that in the Shahdara constituency alone, the BJP has filed applications with the Election Commission to remove the names of over 11,000 voters. The AAP chief also claimed to have testimonies of the people who said their names have been removed despite living at the same address for decades. AgenciesDebate on Australia's industries of the future is ramping up as parliament considers tax incentives for green hydrogen and critical minerals. Login or signup to continue reading The centrepiece of the Labor government's broader Future Made in Australia package, the tax credits are designed to help secure the nation's place in the global net zero supply chain. Treasurer Jim Chalmers is expected to introduce the legislation for production tax credits totalling $13.7 billion to parliament on Monday. "Our production tax incentives are about more investment and more jobs in Australia's resources sector and ensuring local communities benefit from the global transformation to net zero," he said. The production incentive for critical minerals and rare earths would refund 10 per cent of the processing and refining costs between 2027/28 and 2039/40 for up to 10 years per project. Tax credits of $2 per kilogram would be made available for production of renewable hydrogen from 2027/28. The coalition has previously criticised the proposal, with Opposition Leader Peter Dutton calling it "corporate welfare for billionaires" in his budget reply speech. Dr Chalmers called on Mr Dutton to clarify his position. "Peter Dutton's reckless arrogance is the worst enemy of the resources sector and communities across Australia that will be supported through these investments," he said. The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia chief executive Rebecca Tomkinson said the government incentives would "level the playing field in what is an intensely competitive global market". "Australia's resources, including our critical minerals, have a key role to play in the energy transition," she said. Clean Energy Council decarbonisation policy director Anna Freeman said it was an important part of the policy's design that incentives would only go to businesses investing in and delivering hydrogen and critical minerals. "Other major markets, including the United States and Canada, are providing generous support to hydrogen production and Australia too needs to create attractive investment conditions if we are to attract the tens of billions of dollars of new private investment waiting in the wings," she said. The Greens have previously expressed their broad support for critical minerals and green hydrogen industries and said they would assess the production incentives legislation on its merits. Far-right AfD holds rally as Magdeburg mourns Christmas market victimsFORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Wade Taylor IV scored 19 points, Zhuric Phelps hit a go-ahead 3-pointer during an 11-0 run and finished with 12 points, and 22nd-ranked Texas A&M beat Texas Tech 72-67 on Sunday in the first meeting of the former conference rivals since 2012. Phelps' 3 with 7 1/2 minutes left made it 54-52 and put the Aggies (8-2) ahead to stay. His step-back jumper after hard contact with Tech's Kevin Overton capped the game-turning spurt. Jace Carter scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half as Texas A&M won its fourth straight game. Chance McMillian had 23 points with five 3s for Tech (7-2). Overton scored 14 of his 17 points before halftime, when he hit four 3s. Texas Tech played its second game in a row without leading scorer and rebounder JT Toppin (18.6 ppg/11 rpg) because of what the school said is a lower-body injury for the 6-foot-9 forward. Texas A&M made all eight of its free throws in the final 27 seconds, four by Taylor, while Tech made three 3s in the final minute. Texas A&M led 23-12 in the first half on a 3-pointer by Carter, that opened a 45-second exchange of two 3s each by he and Overton. The second 3 by Overton started a 9-0 run that got the Red Raiders within 26-24. The Aggies and Red Raiders played at least twice annually between 1958-2012 while members of the old Southwest Conference and then the original Big 12 before Texas A&M went to the SEC. Their first non-conference meeting since 1953 was at Dickies Arena, a neutral site. Texas A&M plays No. 8 Purdue in Indianapolis on Sunday. Texas Tech hosts Oral Roberts on Dec. 16. There are good and bad news for seniors. The good news is that they have received a cost of living increase in their Social Security benefits , the bad news is that Medicare has also increased its cost. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has revealed to the public that premiums for its Part B plan will increase by about 6% in 2025. For those who choose to enroll in Part B, the cost will be automatically deducted from their Social Security checks. For those who don not know, Medicare is divided into four parts: When talking about Part B, the majority of retirees choose this option instead of going through Part C , as the cost is a lot lower than going through an insurance company for the majority of Americans. Between Parts A and B most services are covered and retirees can have healthy happy life when combined with Part D for those who take a lot of medications. What is the Medicare Part B premium for 2025? According to a statement released by the CMS on Friday, the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will climb by $10.30, or about 6%, to $185.00 from $174.70 in 2024. The annual deductible for all Medicare Part B beneficiaries will also rise to $257 in 2025 from $240. This is not a surprise for retirees, as, the CMS explains, this increase is due to “projected price changes and assumed utilization increases that are consistent with historical experience.” Even though it may seem like it, prices for Medicare don’t go up every year. In fact, in 2023 the premium for Part B was $164.90, which was over $5 lower than the year before. Medicare Part B monthly premiums are calculated based on the beneficiaries income, which means that those in the wealthier tiers also must pay an additional Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount, or IRMAA , which, data from the CMS reflects, impacts about 8% of those with Medicare Part B. In general, married individuals who lived with their spouses at any point during the year and file separate tax returns with a modified adjusted gross income of $106,000 or less are required to pay only the standard Medicare Part B premium of $185 per month. Those whose incomes fall between $106,000 and $394,000 will pay an IRMAA of $406.90 in addition to the $185 premium, totaling $591.90 each month. Seniors with incomes exceeding $394,000 will face an IRMAA of $443.90, bringing their total monthly payment, with the standard premium, to $628.90.

Tiger Woods may not be back in action on the PGA Tour for a few more months, but he's about to give the organisation a massive lift, according to world No. 7 Wyndham Clark. Woods is gearing up to compete in TGL, the innovative tech-infused league he co-founded with Rory McIlroy, which is set to kick off in January. The TGL will see 24 of the PGA Tour's top stars go head-to-head in weekly made-for-TV matches at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This marks the first time the 49-year-old has committed to a regular schedule of events since his high-speed car crash in 2021, which left him severely injured and dealing with a number of ongoing physical issues. Woods only played the four majors and The Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour this year, and it was clear that the challenge of walking 18 holes day after day is extremely difficult at this stage of his career. However, the TGL arena will help alleviate those issues. The players will hit full shots into a huge simulator screen during the three-vs-three, 15-hole matches before shifting their focus to a nearby dynamic short-game area. Representing Jupiter Links Golf Club, Woods is scheduled to play his first TGL match on January 14. Meanwhile, 2023 US Open champion Clark, a member of The Bay Golf Club who is set to play in TGL's inaugural match seven days earlier, believes Woods' return to regular competitive action is a timely boost for the PGA Tour and the sport as a whole. "It's massive. Regardless of how good Tiger is playing, just having Tiger involved in golf and playing is massive," Clark exclusively told Mirror Sport. "And obviously, with his complications with his body and health, it's hard for him to play four rounds in a row, multiple weeks in a row." "And in this, though, it takes away a lot of the physical challenges that he's struggling with. And now he can just hit the shots. And so that's amazing for the game of golf." "It's amazing for TGL. And selfishly, it's awesome for me that I get to play alongside Tiger and compete with him. I've never really had that opportunity as kind of a younger, up-and-coming player." Woods grabbed attention as he teed off over the weekend with his son, Charlie, at the PNC Championship. The duo finished second to Bernhard Langer and his son, Jason, yet Tiger proved he remains the ultimate crowd-puller in golf – with hoards of enthusiasts glued to their screens during an exhibition tournament's finale. The world of men's professional golf has faced its fair share of turbulence recently, not least due to the upheaval caused by the launch of LIV Golf in 2022. The relentless behind-the-scenes squabbles have left fans weary and exacerbated a worrying dip in PGA Tour viewership stats. TGL is poised to inject new life into the tour, enticing fresh spectators. The weekly matches are set to take place predominantly on Monday nights, broadcast live during primetime on ESPN, stepping in to fill the gap left by the NFL season's end. Clark, aged 30, is convinced that TGL will have an enormously positive effect. "Oh, it's amazing," he enthused. "I'm hoping it's the start of a lot of primetime stuff for golf. I think TGL has been very smart and strategic to plan it right after the NFL season's over. People want to watch sports still and taking over that Monday night slot is massive." He added, "People are home on Monday nights and they want to see sports. And I think that's going to be great for the game of golf. And I hope people love this and want more of it. And then next thing you know, a lot of golf is on primetime."‘Best Thrillers Book Awards’ Names ‘All Mortal Greatness’ Finalist In The ‘Crime Thriller Genre’

Nancy Mace, now targeting transgender lawmaker, called herself ‘pro-transgender rights’ in 2023PayRetailers , a payments processor serving Latin America and Africa, acquired business payments FinTech Transfeera . The deal was approved by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and the central bank in Transfeera’s home country of Brazil (BCB), the companies announced in a Thursday (Dec. 19) news release provided to PYMNTS. “The transaction is part of PayRetailers’ strategy to expand its presence in Brazil, following the acquisition of a payment institution license from the BCB in April,” the release said. “The acquisition will enable PayRetailers to gain direct access to Pix, a popular payment system in Brazil which lets users instantly transfer money in Brazilian real, strengthening its regulatory and risk management structure in Brazil and expanding its opportunities in open banking.” Transfeera, founded in 2017, offers platform and technology solutions for payment processing and bank data validation, and brings with it more than 500 new clients, helping PayRetailers with its goal of increasing its services to Brazilian companies next year, per the release. “This acquisition provides us with access to a wide range of payment methods across Latin America and Africa through a single API in over 20 countries and 250 payment methods,” Transfeera co-founder and CEO Fernando Nunes said in the release. “This positions us even more strongly to enhance our competitive advantages in the market. Together, we aim to accelerate our journey of technological innovation, offering innovative, secure and efficient solutions to meet market demands.” PYMNTS examined Brazil’s digital payments scene this week through the lens of its Pix instant payment system, used by 77% of the country’s residents. The use of Pix is expanding. For example, cross-border payment platform dLocal became a certified payment service provider in Brazil last month and can now facilitate Pix payments directly within the open finance ecosystem, without redirecting users to bank apps. The certification allows dLocal to deliver streamlined checkout by doing away with unnecessary steps when Pix payments are used, which can improve merchant conversion rates. Also last month, Peru’s B89 joined forces with PagBrasil , which develops cross-border solutions for the Pix payment system.

CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Bengals took care of business and won three straight games for the first time this season. Cincinnati is playing its best football, but it might be too late to sneak into the playoffs, with five teams battling for the two remaining AFC postseason spots. At 7-8, the Bengals are on the bubble along with two other teams that have the same record, the Colts and Dolphins. To have a chance, the Bengals will need to beat the visiting Denver Broncos (9-6) on Saturday, then try to take down the Steelers (10-5) at Pittsburgh in the regular-season finale. They'll need some help from other teams, too. The rub for the Bengals is that they have yet to beat a team with a winning record this season. Now with some momentum for the first time, the Bengals will have to clear that hurdle. “It’s just what it’s supposed to feel like for us. This is our expectation," coach Zac Taylor said after the Bengals beat the Cleveland Browns 24-6 on Sunday. “We just put ourselves in a position to now play some real meaningful games. ... We found a way to get the win and now we can turn our focus to a short week and the Denver Broncos.” Joe Burrow became the first player in NFL history to throw for at least 250 yards and three or more touchdowns in seven consecutive games. One of his TD passes, to Tee Higgins, came as he was falling down. He finished 23 for 30 for 252 yards. ... Ja'Marr Chase continues to build his resume as he strives to win the receiving “triple crown.” He had six catches for 97 yards and a touchdown against the Browns and leads the league in receptions, yards and TDs. ... K Cade York tied a franchise record with a 59-yard field goal. “The guys have responded this way all season,” Taylor said. “We lost some heartbreakers to be quite frank, and games that just came down to the end. It doesn’t mean that we’ve had a bad football team and we weren’t in it. We’ve been in this, and now — I don’t want to say getting our confidence back, because we’ve had confidence — but we’re just making the plays necessary at the critical points of the game to take control of these games. That’s really what’s happened the last three weeks, and we’ve got to continue that.” Burrow has fumbled 10 times this season. Against the Browns, he lost a fumble on a strip-sack with the Bengals on the Cleveland 2-yard-line. Last week, S Jordan Battle scooped a fumble and ran it all the way back, only to fumble as he crossed the goal line, leading to a touchback. Against the Browns, he intercepted a second-half pass from Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the end zone. The Bengals' defense has nine takeaways in the past two games. Cincinnati's depleted offensive line allowed four sacks. The offensive line took a hit when tackle Amarius Mims went out with an ankle injury and didn't return. 5.1 — Yards per carry by RB Chase Brown, who seems to get better every week. He had 18 carries for 91 yards. The Bengals continue their improbable effort to slip into the playoffs when they host the Broncos in their home finale on Saturday. They finish the season the following week at Pittsburgh. AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/NFLWhy Every Home Needs A Smart Doorbell: Features That Go Beyond The Doorstep
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Cam Heyward has been on good teams before. Ones that have captured divisions. Ones that have won playoff games, though admittedly not in a while. The longtime Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle, now well into his dotage in his 14th season, can't quite remember having a group like the one that he plays on now. “We have a complete team,” Heyward said. A team that began the season riddled with question marks now finds itself steamrolling toward Christmas with everything on the table. Russell Wilson threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns, Heyward recorded two sacks and the Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 27-14 on Sunday even with leading receiver George Pickens watching from the sideline while missing the first game of his career due to a groin injury. While it took Wilson and the rest of the offense time to get going with the productive if volatile Pickens out of the mix, Wilson found his footing in the second half by connecting on touchdown passes to Pat Freiermuth and Van Jefferson as the Steelers (10-3) moved two games ahead of Baltimore for the AFC North lead with four weeks to go. Two weeks after a messy pratfall in the snow, Pittsburgh avoided being swept by the Browns for the first time since 1988 by taking advantage of the countless opportunities mistake-prone Cleveland (3-10) provided. Jameis Winston threw two interceptions, Dustin Hopkins missed two makeable field goals when the outcome was still in doubt and a series of ill-time flags added up to the Browns reaching double-digit losses for the 18th time since the franchise returned in 1999. “I don’t believe the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns,” Winston said. “I believe the Cleveland Browns beat the Cleveland Browns.” While Winston avoided the pick-6s that have dogged him throughout his career — including last week in Denver — but did little after hitting Jerry Jeudy for a 35-yard touchdown in the first quarter that gave the Browns an early lead. Winston finished 24 of 41 for 211 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Nick Chubb ran for 48 yards in his return to Pittsburgh after a devastating knee injury on the same field 15 months ago forced him to miss more than a year. Yet the Steelers kept Myles Garrett relatively in check after the defensive star racked up three sacks in Cleveland's snowy upset on Nov. 21 , and Pittsburgh's defense provided the spark that brought the offense to life. The surge began when Winston's screen pass intended for Chubb landed in the hands of 6-foot-4, 309-pound Steelers defensive tackle Keeanu Benton, who lugged his first career interception 11 yards. Najee Harris bulled over from 1 yard out five plays later to give the Steelers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. “That's what good teams do this time of year,” Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin said. “Somebody makes a play, the other side of the ball backs it up. That's what we're trying to do.” Cleveland had chances to keep the Steelers within sight, but Hopkins saw a 38-yard field goal at breezy Acrisure Stadium late in the first half sail wide left, then had a 43-yarder drift wide right early in the third quarter. “I need to find a good swing,” said Hopkins, who has an NFL-high nine misses. “The swing has been tough to find this year.” The Steelers scored on the ensuing possession when Wilson executed a perfect run-pass option by faking the ball to Jaylen Warren, rolling right and finding Jefferson wide-open in the end zone from 10 yards out to make it 20-7. Pittsburgh's Elandon Roberts stuffed Jerome Ford for a 5-yard loss on fourth down to end Cleveland's next possession, and Wilson connected with Freiermuth down the seam. The tight end stumbled into the newly painted yellow end zone to send the Browns back to Cleveland with a loss, just like they have during every regular season visit since 2004. It also sets the stage for a daunting finishing stretch for the Steelers, who face Philadelphia, Baltimore and Kansas City over the next three weeks, with two of the games coming on short rest. While Pittsburgh has quieted much of the noise that surrounded the team after a massive offensive overhaul in the offseason — led by the acquisition of Wilson — the Steelers understand the real test is still to come. “Why not test us before the playoffs, get a feel?” Freiermuth said. “They're all playoff teams we're playing, so it'll be great.” Browns: CB Mike Ford Jr. was placed in the concussion protocol in the first quarter. Steelers: DT Larry Ogunjobi (groin) left in the first half and did not return. ... DB Donte Jackson (back) exited in the third quarter. Browns: Host Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday. Steelers: Travel to cross-state rival Philadelphia next Sunday. AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/NFL
Bills offense is 'Cooking,' with running game adding a powerful new dimensionSnow pants are highly technical pieces of apparel. They’re designed more for practical outdoor use than they are for earning style points. For those who like to get out and about in the winter season, you’ll need a quality pair to keep you warm. They use waterproof exteriors along with insulated interiors to protect your legs from wet snow and cool temperatures. The best pair is the THE NORTH FACE Sally Pants . Their thick exterior protects you from the wind and snow and their DryVent ventilation system releases excess body heat. There are three types of snow pants . The most common type resembles your everyday pair of pants. Aside from the technical materials, the main difference is that they have a looser fit than normal pants. Snow pants are ideal for maximum mobility when skiing or snowboarding. Some bibs resemble overalls. They have an upper body portion connected to the pants and use straps to go over the shoulders. This gives you more protection from the elements, but it slightly restricts your movement. Then there are one-piece snowsuits, which have a coat and pants in a single slip-on piece. The best material used to make snow pants is polyester. It’s durable, water-resistant and inexpensive. Polyester is the material that makes up the bulk of a pair of snow pants. Many manufacturers will add nylon for even more long-term strength. There’s also elastic, which is used in ankle gaiters and some waistbands. Gore-Tex is another material used in many outdoor products like snow pants because it’s completely water-resistant. Snow pants are sized differently than normal pants. Instead of using numbers, they use small to large distinctions. This makes it easier because they’re sized more generally than your everyday pair of pants. Most brands go from XS to XXL, but some include more variations, such as large long and large short. This way, you can customize your fit based on your body type. Other brands will use inseam measurements if you know exactly how long you’d prefer the pants to be. Boot gaiters are sections of fabric that provide more security around the ankle. Walking through snow can cause your socks to get wet. This is not only uncomfortable but can also affect your body’s temperature. Gaiters use elastic to wrap tightly around your ankle while the exterior of your pants goes over your boots. Some pants have a reinforced seam and patches on the pant leg to prevent wear and tear around the ankle. This will also protect your ankles from bumps and bruises while on the slopes. Baggy snow pants are the best choice if you’re snowboarding or skiing. With more room between your legs and the exterior fabric, you can comfortably wear a pair of insulated tights underneath. Baggy pants also allow for more freedom of movement. With skiing, especially, you’ll need all the flexibility your legs can get. Loose-fitting pants will prevent seams from ripping too easily as well. Professional snowboarders and skiers who focus on tricks will exclusively wear baggy snow pants to give them more mobility. While snow pants are designed to keep you warm, sometimes, the heat can cause sweat to build up around your legs. For this reason, some pants come with built-in ventilation systems. These specially designed vents are woven into the pants and release excess heat. The vent is usually on the rear waist area. This positioning makes it discreet to the naked eye. Also, your coat will cover it most of the time, which prevents any cold air from entering from the outside. Women’s snow pants cost $30-$260. A. GORE-TEX is known for its waterproofing, but the ultra-tight weaves and thick fabric make it windproof as well. A. Most snow pants have two sets of pockets on either hip. They are usually sealed using zippers to keep your belongings protected. THE NORTH FACE Sally Pants What you need to know: These high-quality snow pants from North Face use thick materials to keep you dry. What you’ll love: The pants have a snug fit around the knees with a slight flare at the ankles. There’s a DryVent to prevent your legs from sweating and Heatseeker Eco insulation to protect you from the elements. There are zippered pockets, a belt loop around the waist and boot gaiters near the ankles. What you should consider: The waistband is not as adjustable as other pants. Arctix Insulated Cargo Snow Pants What you need to know: Arctix has the most customizable snow pants with a large selection of colors and sizes. What you’ll love: Key features include boot zippers, three pockets, an adjustable waistline and an O-ring for keys. There are 20 color options, such as Blue Night, Rose, Green Camo and Plum, alongside 45 size options. There are tall, long, short and inseam measurement size types. What you should consider: With all the sizing choices, finding the right one will be more difficult. Columbia Arctic Omni Heat Snow Pants What you need to know: The Omni Heat snow pants are highly insulated to offer the most warmth. What you’ll love: These pants use nylon for excellent durability on the outside. The interior has reflective Omni Heat technology that keeps the heat from leaving the pants. There’s an adjustable waist strap on the inside, zippered pockets at the hips and near the leg, plus a double snap closure at the waist. Maura Healey said. “This commitment is an important step forward in our goal to improve transportation infrastructure across the state.” The rebuilt Framingham/Worcester Line station will feature a pair of 400-foot long, fully accessible level-boarding platforms and accommodations for riders using wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller described the funding commitment as a “positive game change for Newton’s northside.” “This is a huge leap forward not just for public transportation but also housing, economic opportunity, accessibility, and climate resiliency. Everyone will now be able to take the train — people with mobility challenges, parents with a stroller, and travelers with a suitcase. The double platforms will allow more frequent service, improving life and access to economic opportunities for people along the entire Worcester-Framingham-Boston corridor,” Fuller said. The station’s current single-track design, “forces trains to switch tracks in Newton, causing delays across the whole corridor and reducing efficiency,” according to MBTA General Manager Phil Eng. In addition, the commuter rail doesn’t have an accessible stop anywhere in Newton, Eng said, despite the fact that riders requiring some accommodation use the line daily. Newtonville Station’s platform can only be reached by stair. “That’s not acceptable,” Eng said. Auchincloss, who is credited with getting $7 million in federal Community Project Funding earmarked for the project, said that improvements to the station will start a “virtuous cycle of better service and increased ridership.” “This upgrade helps commuters, supports affordable housing, and advances the goal of regional rail,” Auchincloss said. According to the Governor’s office, the MBTA is “evaluating multiple contract procurement methods to rebuild Newtonville Station.” A construction schedule has yet to be determined.
