Josh Allen's ex claims she's been hacked after brutal CTE Instagram dig at QB amid his engagement to Hailee Steinfeld READ MORE: Josh Allen's ex Brittany Williams breaks her silence on their split By ISABEL BALDWIN Published: 17:57 GMT, 30 November 2024 | Updated: 17:58 GMT, 30 November 2024 e-mail 5 View comments Josh Allen's ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams has been caught up in controversy after the Buffalo Bills star announced his engagement to Hailee Steinfeld. The fashion influencer's Instagram account was caught taking a savage shot at the quarterback in the comment section of one of her own posts. A social media user commented on one of Williams' Instagram posts, asking if she hadn't 'found the next pro athlete yet,' referencing her past relationship with the NFL star. Williams, who dated Allen for around seven years, allegedly clapped back but only days later - and after the news of the signal caller's engagement broke. 'Luckily my boyfriend owns a team and doesn't play for one. don't have to be with another brain dead CTE athlete,' Williams' account brutally responded, referencing a brain disorder liked caused by repeated head injuries, which many footballers are believed to have suffered with. It is unclear if Williams does indeed have a new mystery man or who he is. However, she maintained her innocence, claiming she was not responsible the insensitive comment as she had been hacked. Josh Allen's ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams has been caught up in controversy this week The fashion influencer's Instagram account was caught taking a savage shot at the quarterback 'My accounts have been hacked several times tonight. Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please lmk,' she shared on her Instagram post, with the original comment and her reply seemingly now deleted. The Pilates instructor has known the quarterback since they were children with their families knowing each other. The couple got together in 2017 before quietly splitting last year amid allegations of infidelity. Fans were first alerted to the former couple's split when Williams reportedly removed content of them together on her main Instagram page and also unfollowed the sports star. Allen was linked to Steinfeld shortly after the split, first sparking dating rumors in late May, when photographers caught them enjoying a date night together in New York City. And days later, the two were seen holding hands as they got sushi together . They have since spent time in Mexico and at Paris Fashion Week but Allen and Steinfeld have - for the most part - kept their romance under wraps. The newlyweds-to-be publicly announced their engagement on Black Friday, sharing an Instagram post showing the football player down on one need amid a romantic coastal backdrop. '11•22•24' read the caption, suggesting the Bills star popped the question last week - during Buffalo's bye week. She later claimed that was not responsible the insensitive comment as she had been hacked View this post on Instagram A post shared by Josh Allen (@joshallenqb) Allen enjoyed a brief break from NFL action after inspiring his team to a crucial win over back-to-back Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs. Williams first broke her silence on her breakup with Allen in January when she opened up on venturng back into the world of dating on the 'Martinis and Bikinis' podcast. 'I would say that coming into the dating world was very, very, very difficult for me at first because I'm just like, I never thought I would be here again,' Williams said. 'But here I am, I am very happy now. The dating life in New York is absolutely crazy but it's so much fun. It was so entertaining. 'I'm giddy right now just talking about it because it's so much fun. I'm having the 'Sex and the City' moment... It is crazy out here on these streets, I'll just say that. 'It's hard but it's beautiful because it makes you realize everything you want and makes you not settle for anything more than that.' KORE Announces NYSE Acceptance of Plan to Regain Listing Compliance

Sempra Named Among Newsweek's 'Most Responsible Companies'The incoming chairman of the Federal Communications Commission is sending a stern message to the owners of television stations and networks. And he is using ABC’s recent settlement with President-elect Donald Trump as a news peg of sorts. Brendan Carr, a Trump-appointed commissioner who will become chairman next month, wrote to Disney CEO Bob Iger over the weekend about the Disney-owned ABC network’s negotiations with its affiliated stations across the United States. Carr used that narrow issue to advance some broad points about the state of the industry and to signal that he intends to wield a heavy hand in the top FCC role — taking a very different approach than his predecessors. The letter, which was obtained by CNN, begins, “Dear Mr. Iger, Americans no longer trust the national news media to report fully, accurately, and fairly.” Carr cites polling data and says, “ABC’s own conduct has certainly contributed to this erosion in public trust. For instance, ABC News recently agreed to pay $15 million to President Trump’s future presidential foundation and museum and an additional $1 million in attorney fees to settle a defamation case.” Carr then delineates between national networks and local stations (which are licensed by the FCC), saying, “Americans largely hold positive views of their local media outlets.” He indicates support for more local programming — hardly a controversial idea. But his emphasis on the national media’s trust deficit — and his choice to write to Iger — shows that Carr, a commissioner since 2017, has different priorities than Republican and Democratic chairs in the past. Instead of, say, the digital divide, Carr has highlighted Republican allegations of Big Tech censorship. And now he has advanced Trump’s criticism of ABC — albeit in a much more polite way. He seems happy to accept criticism for using his FCC position and X profile as a bully pulpit. Disney may respectfully shrug off the commissioner’s letter, but he cites multiple areas where the media giant is subject to FCC regulation, including station licensing. Television station license renewals are pro forma — licenses are rarely contested and essentially never denied — but during the presidential campaign Trump said he wanted ABC and other broadcasters to lose their licenses . The FCC also oversees a process called retransmission consent, whereby cable distributors pay local stations for the right to retransmit their signals. When Disney-owned channels disappeared from DirecTV lineups for two weeks in September, retransmission consent was a key part of the dispute. Most stations with ABC shows aren’t actually owned by the network; they are owned by other companies that strike affiliation agreements with ABC. “The approach that ABC is apparently taking in these negotiations concerns me,” Carr says in the letter to Iger. “My understanding is that ABC is attempting to extract onerous financial and operational concessions from local broadcast TV stations under the threat of terminating long-held affiliations, which could result in blackouts and other harms to local consumers of broadcast news and content.” He also raises a concern about Disney prioritizing its global streaming services at the expense of local and freely accessible stations. Similar criticisms could theoretically be lodged against other major media companies. “The fact that a massive trust divide has emerged between local news outlets and national programmers like ABC only increases the importance of retransmission consent revenues remaining available for local broadcast TV stations to invest in their local news operations and content that serves their communities,” Carr writes. In effect, he is positioning himself as a friend to local media — and an antagonist to corporate owners. An ABC spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Carr concludes the letter stating that he will be “monitoring the outcome” of the ABC negotiations “to ensure that those negotiations enable local broadcast TV stations to meet their federal obligations and serve the needs of their local communities.” The FCC has historically had little ability to shape the programming and conduct of American media companies — but Carr seems ready to try.

The jury on Friday awarded Nikita Hand in her lawsuit that claimed McGregor “brutally raped and battered” her in 2018. The lawsuit says the assault left her heavily bruised and suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. He was released Wednesday from a boat that traveled several hours from Western Australia state's most southerly city of Albany. His caregiver Carol Biddulph wasn't sure at first if the penguin would live. She said a mirror was important to his rehabilitation because they provide a sense of company. Biddulph said: “They’re social birds and he stands next to the mirror most of the time.”

Time to revamp and relaunch the STI?German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is poised to seek a second term in the approaching snap elections. This decision emerged after his Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, a favored potential replacement, announced on Thursday that he would not be entering the race. This announcement comes as a relief following weeks of uncertainty regarding Pistorius's candidacy, mere months before the elections on February 23. The Social Democrats (SPD), however, are left with Scholz, Germany's least popular chancellor to date, as their candidate. The SPD trails in third place, below the conservative opposition and the far-right. Although Pistorius, Germany's most popular politician since his appointment two years ago, declined to run, he pledged full support to Scholz, whom he praised as an "outstanding federal chancellor." At a press conference ahead of Navy Day, Admiral Tripathi said his force is keeping a close watch on the Chinese naval activities in the Indian Ocean, and described as “surprising” the growth of the Pakistan Navy given the condition of its economy, adding the eight brand new submarines being built will add significant combat potential to it. The Indian Navy is tweaking its strategy to “negate” any infringement in its area of operations and “we are fully ready to tackle all threats from our neighbours”, he asserted. The Navy Chief said India will induct around 95 ships in the next 10 years as the focus has been to build a future-ready naval force by 2047 that will consolidate India’s resurgence as a maritime power and ensure credible deterrence. On the Cabinet Committee on Security’s approval to build two nuclear attack submarines (SSNs), Admiral Tripathi said the plan is to commission the first one by 2036-37 and the second one in about two years from then. The SSNs will add huge capability to the Navy, he said in the first such comments by a top government official on the strategically crucial project. Listing measures to bolster India’s naval prowess, he also said that the contract to procure 26 Rafale-Marine from France under a government-to-government framework and the deal to construct three additional Scorpene submarines are expected to be sealed by next month. “It is a matter of completing the formalities in the acquisition process. We expect that if not this month, then next month, hopefully, both these (Scorpene submarine) and Rafale-M (procurement deals) should be signed,” he said. In July last year, the Defence Ministry approved the purchase of the Rafale-M jets from France, primarily for deployment on board the indigenously built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The ministry had also cleared the procurement of three Scorpene submarines from France. Under the Indian Navy’s Project 75, six Scorpene submarines have already been constructed in India by Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) in cooperation with the Naval Group of France. The Chief of Naval Staff said India is closely monitoring the activities of the Chinese PLA Navy and the growth of the Pakistan Navy. “We are aware about the surprising growth of the Pakistan Navy. They are aiming to become a 50-ship force by the next decade. Seeing the economy of Pakistan, it is very surprising how they are building or getting so many ships and submarines,” he said. “Obviously they have chosen weapons over the welfare of their people,” he said. Admiral Tripathi said China is interested in making the Pakistan Navy stronger, as many Pakistani warships and submarines are being built with Chinese support. “The eight brand new submarines being built will add significant combat potential to the Pakistan Navy. We are fully aware of what is happening, what is the level of their deployment, their concept of operations,” he said. Admiral Tripathi also delved into security challenges facing India in the maritime domain. “We have also kept a close watch on the activities of extra-regional forces operating in the Indian Ocean region including the PLA Navy units – whether it is their warships, their research vessels. We know who is doing what, where and how,” he said. On modernisation of the Indian Navy, he said a large number of platforms are waiting for induction in the next one year and at least one ship will be inducted into the Navy, he said. We have redoubled efforts to include niche technologies into the force, Admiral Tripathi said. “Sixty-two ships and one submarine are being constructed in various Indian shipyards. We have the acceptance of necessity (initial approval) for 31 ships and submarines, all of which will be made in India,” he said. The Navy Chief said the government has also approved the procurement of 60 utility helicopters for the Navy. Asked about China’s military muscle-flexing in the South China Sea, he said it is a “cause for worry”. The Navy Chief said China has intent to become a world power. “Our reading is that it will manifest more in the Pacific Ocean and we are keeping a watch to ensure that our interests in the Indian Ocean region are not affected,” he said. On India testing a nuclear-capable ballistic missile from a nuclear-powered submarine last week, Tripathi said it was without a warhead and the trajectory of the weapon is being analysed. At the same time, he described the test as successful. The K4 missile was tested from submarine INS Arighaat off the coast of Visakhapatnam last Wednesday. It was the first test of the submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) from a submarine. At the media briefing, Admiral Tripathi also unveiled an ‘Indian Navy Vision 2047’ document that provides a roadmap for the force’s growth in the next 25 years.

PHILADELPHIA — Victoria Perrone wasn’t a spokesperson for Sen. John Fetterman’s 2022 Senate campaign. As his treasurer, she worked with numbers and spreadsheets. But when the campaign asked her to speak about her sister who relied in part on Medicaid at her Delaware County elementary school, she agreed. “My sister passed away from Ovarian Cancer in June and Dr. Oz became the Republican nominee,” she said on stage at Nether Providence Elementary School, sporting a ‘Made in Delco’ hoodie. “When I found out Dr. Oz lied to millions of TV viewers that one of his ‘miracle cures’ would decrease ovarian cancer by 75%, I got really mad, like Delco Mad.” So when Fetterman said this week that he would vote for Oz if the celebrity doctor agrees to protect Medicaid and Medicare, Perrone got “Delco mad” again. “Our politics are obviously different, and we do have a history, but I don’t have any bitterness,” Fetterman told CNN reporter Manu Raju this week of Oz. “I don’t hold anything against him. As long as he’s willing to protect and preserve Medicaid and Medicare, I’m voting for the dude.” But on the campaign trail in 2022, Fetterman often attacked the celebrity doctor known for spreading misinformation as a liar and a fraud, and frequently said Oz would be a threat to Medicare and Social Security funding. So the senator’s remarks this week garnered a reaction from several former campaign staffers, and some of his former senate staffers also expressed outrage at Oz’s nomination. Annie Wu Henry, who was on Fetterman’s campaign’s digital team and was coined his TikTok whisperer , posted screenshots of posts from Fetterman’s X account that argued Oz would threaten Medicare and Social Security. Harrison Morgan, who also worked on Fetterman’s campaign, reposted Henry’s compilation as well as other posts against Oz. Morgan also shared a 2022 post from Fetterman’s account that called Oz a fraud. Sophie Ota, the digital director for Fetterman’s 2022 campaign , also pointed out the irony of Fetterman’s statement about appointing Oz. “Oh my god hahahahahahahahahahahahah,” she posted alongside Fetterman’s statement. Former Fetterman communications staffers Emma Mustion , Joe Calvello , and Nick Gavio , who all left within the same time period in the spring, all shared posts on X against Oz’s appointment. During his 2022 run, Oz said he supported expanding Medicare Advantage plans, which use private insurers, and he argued in a 2020 op-ed that every American who isn’t on Medicaid should be on one of the private plans. A 2014 study found that less than half of claims made on Oz’s show were accurate, The 19th reported. Oz also said in 2014 that Americans without insurance do not have a right to health and should instead receive 15-minute screenings in a “festival-like setting,” the report said. A ‘huge personal betrayal’ For Perrone, Fetterman’s statement was a “huge personal betrayal.” She said her sister cast a vote for Fetterman on the last ballot she lived to cast. “Knowing all of these things that we researched about Mehmet Oz and the lies that he told on his show, and then seeing and knowing where he stands on Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, it made zero sense to me that John would even say that he would consider voting for him, because, in my opinion, it is pretty clear cut that he is not qualified,” Perrone said in an interview. She said she doesn’t know why Fetterman, who is “blatantly and obnoxiously authentic,” would be open to believing Oz, who “made a career out of lying to people.” If Fetterman was trying to extend an olive branch to work with Republicans, “this was a very failed attempt of doing that,” she said. “I don’t know if he’s caving to the Republican Party; I don’t know if he’s just being gullible,” she said. Fetterman – who also said this week of Oz that he would “get a beer with the dude,” as NOTUS reported – dismissed the reaction to his recent remarks on Friday. “Freakouts are rarely illuminating,” he posted on X . “I never committed to a yes, just an open dialogue lol.” He also pointed to the Republican majority in the Senate to support his view. But while Democrats don’t have the power to block Trump’s nominees, they can play a role in directing the conversation about them. Fetterman’s office did not respond to a request for comment. Fetterman has already alienated some of his supporters on the left who expressed frustration and disillusionment over his hard-line support for Israel in its war against Hamas. He’s also extended his snark – which he previously was known for extending to Republicans like Oz — to progressives who previously supported him. “There’s been a pattern of people feeling duped by him, and where he actually stands on issues,” Perrone said. Meanwhile, Fetterman has made a better impression with Republicans over his staunch support for Israel. He has welcomed pro-Israel Trump appointments with open arms, including Sen. Marco Rubio and U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanick . He was, however, dismissive of former Florida U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz’s now-withdrawn appointment as attorney general, sarcastically saying he didn’t see it coming that Gaetz wouldn’t be confirmed. ©2024 The Philadelphia Inquirer, LLC. Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham says new poll results show residents understand the need for the city to collect more money — either from other governments or new taxes. The city-commissioned poll, by Probe Research, had 56 per cent of respondents agreeing with the idea that the city needs money from sources other than property taxes, fees and grants. About four in 10 respondents said extra funds from the provincial government is the best way to get new money, while about one in six respondents said new municipal taxes were the best option. Among the possible new taxes, the most popular items were vacant homes, liquor sales and commercial parking, while taxes on vehicle registration and online deliveries faced the most opposition. The poll included 480 adults from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1, and cannot be assigned a margin of error because it involved an online panel. Gillingham is hoping further talks with the provincial NDP government will bear fruit. “We have a growing city ... and the demand for city services is only increasing,” Gillingham said Monday. “So we have to find ways to raise the revenue to provide those services.” The former Progressive Conservative government froze municipal operating grants for several years before boosting them by an average of 28 per cent in 2023. The NDP government, after winning last year’s election, has committed to annual increases of two per cent. Last week, the province announced an additional $62 million over five years for municipalities. It has also funded some additional policing costs to fight a surge in retail theft. Any of the new taxes being floated by the city would need provincial approval. Simard was noncommittal when asked whether he would approve new municipal tax powers. “The more that we can work together in talking about the issues together is good for everyone,” Simard said. “That’s not a no or a yes,” he said when pressed again.
