Politico reported the eyebrow-raising news Wednesday, noting that John Morgan is in active discussions to have the one-time attorney general nominee join his Florida law firm of Morgan & Morgan . Thiruvananthapuram: French composer and pianist Beatrice Thiriet stressed the importance of music in different aspects of movies and urged directors and producers to include music in the planning stage itself. Delivering the Aravindan Memorial Lecture at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) 2024 in the city on Monday, Thiriet said that music gives a view of the story, something the story cannot say. She emphasized the importance of having a discussion on what is important in music, what music can do to help understand movies, something a story cannot say, like a perspective in a perspective. Stating the importance of understanding what a director wants from a composer, Thiriet said, "I used to say I have become a musical twin to Pascal Ferran." Thiriet has a long association with the French director. Though the director decides the importance of music in a movie, it's crucial to discuss music at the planning stage because the composer needs time, she said. "Today there are new ways for original scores due to technology, because of which we have time to decide together with the director, music director, sound engineer, and all.
