According to the architectural control guidelines for the Walled City and the Heritage Conservation and Protection Byelaws, 2020, the base colour for pillars and parapet walls of verandahs has to be ‘Jaipur Pink', which is the hirmich (closer to brick colour), while the base of the stencils, ornamental details and painted borders of doors and windows shall be white. A visit to the Walled City, however, reveals that the buildings now are of different shades of pink, without maintaining the uniformity code. Even several windows and doors of these buildings comply with the specific mandates of neither the architectural control guidelines nor the heritage conservation and protection byelaws. The two wings of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Heritage) – the building department and the heritage cell – are meanwhile busy deflecting responsibility to each other. The building department officials claimed it is the duty of the heritage cell to enforce these byelaws and mandates. The department maintains that it has taken on the responsibility only for the international summit, that too only for the stretches between New Gate and Tripolia Gate and between Sanganeri Gate and Dhruv Pole or Zorawar Singh Gate. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which leads the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) with the support of United States troops, has mobilized to defend against both Turkey-backed rebels and ISIS on two fronts as the Syrian military's lines of control collapse. "The Syrian Democratic Forces are concerned about the social structure of the Syrian people in the areas controlled by the Authority and the factions supported by Turkey," Sinam Mohamad, the representative of the SDF-affiliated Syrian Democratic Council in Washington, told Newsweek . "This concern is also reflected in our areas." "The dramatic collapse of the regime forces creates a vacuum that will certainly be exploited by the Islamic State organization ISIS, which still poses a threat to the region as a whole," she said. It just became way less of a hassle to launch 2K games from your Steam library. The publisher has officially removed its launcher from every game that used it on Steam (and the Epic Games Store). The removal went through on November 18, but a follow-up update to ensure the Launcher was fully removed dropped on November 25. Many games, including Bioshock Remastered, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and The Quarry, will now launch directly through Steam. Other games used the launcher for additional functionality. Those games will now launch a small submenu before opening the game itself. For example, XCOM 2 and XCOM: Chimera Squad used the 2K launcher for mod management. Now, launching the game will open a small menu which will let you open the mod launcher or the selected game directly. For both games, this change lets you install and use mods on Steam Deck, though the Chimera Squad menu may have some graphical and interface glitches on the portable device. Some files from the launcher may remain. The 2K launcher folder has been replaced with a text file entitled 2kLauncherRemoved.txt, which can be safely deleted.
