(AP) — With tears occasionally welling in his eyes, Daniel Jones disagreed on Thursday with the New York Giants' decision to bench him earlier this week and perhaps end his five-plus tenure as the team's quarterback. His second citation, which triggered the fine, came in the second period of a 6-2 victory over the Rangers on Nov. 23. Skinner was being followed by Rangers defenseman K’Andre Miller as he had the puck along the boards in the New York zone. Skinner lost his footing and the puck despite minimal contact from Miller. Dreeshen said the move comes as the province aims to shift from a focus on revenue back to traffic safety. The orders come into effect in April and will prohibit the use of photo radar on all numbered provincial highways, with photo radar instead restricted to playgrounds, school zones, and construction sites. The new measures also include limiting intersection cameras to just red light violations, which Dreeshen said will eliminate violations for “speed-on-green.” Over the coming months, Dreeshen said the province will be reviewing all 2,200 photo radar sites and will remove all that it deems “ineffective,” or are found outside of construction, playground, and school zones. Municipalities will be able to request additional photo radar sites, but approval will be based on proof that enforcement is needed in the requested location.
