Bain said in the email shared with the AP that Worrell's suspension must be resolved by either another executive order by DeSantis or a decision by the Florida Senate, which reviews the cases of elected officials suspended from office. “Without one of these things, I do not feel I can lawfully assist in a transition to an individual whose lawful suspension was affirmed by the Florida Supreme Court ,” Bain wrote. “We are living through an unprecedented legal event without clear answers.” Representatives for Bain did not respond to phone and email inquiries from the AP. A statement posted to the state attorney's website Monday appeared to contradict Bain's message to staff. “The state attorney is ready and willing to ensure a smooth transition,” reads a message released by the agency's public information office. “The state attorney’s term ends Jan. 6, 2025, and he will no longer be in office. Ms. Worrell’s term will begin Jan. 7, 2025. During South Carolina's surge, which includes wins over three power conference teams, Pringle has made 26 of 30 (86.7 percent) free-throw attempts. It's a remarkable improvement from his 51.7 percent career success rate entering the season. Last month, in his South Carolina debut after transferring from Alabama, Pringle's foul shooting woes continued as he shot 3-for-8 in stunning 74-71 upset at the hands of the visiting North Florida. One of the bill’s proponents, Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Az., said the U.S. intelligence community grows stronger once equipped with the tools necessary to tackle foreseen threats to national security. “This bipartisan effort will make it easier for our intelligence agencies to leverage partnerships to secure state-of-the-art technology and talent, ensuring the U.S. maintains an edge over adversaries,” Kelly remarked. Kelly’s co-authors in the measure are Sens. John Cornyn, R-Tx.; Mark Warner, D-Va.; and James Lankford, R-Ok. Who Are the Potential IC Partners? A statement from Kelly’s office issued on Friday noted that the intelligence community’s acquisition officials must be able to access public and private capital for the acquisition of technologies suited to address global threats to national security. The office also said the lenders that could be explored for potential partnerships under the bill include the Department of Defense’s Office of Strategic Capital, as well as private financial institutions. “Through IC partnerships with federal lending agencies like DOD’s Office of Strategic Capital and fostering greater IC public-private partnerships, we can better equip collectors and analysts with the tools to meet workforce demand and strengthen our national security,” Cornyn said. Unfortunately for Paul Wanner, this luck did not continue when he faced his parent club in Munich on Saturday. In Ulm vs Hannover we had two assists and a goal from loanees on both sides. We also had some injury news and some top of the table drama in the Frauen-Bundesliga. See what all the loanees were up to: FC Bayern Munich There are nine players on loan from the first team. Germany – Bundesliga There are five players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Franz Krätzig, Paul Wanner, Armando Sieb, and Gabriel Vidovic. Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart Stuttgart gave Nübel the night off when they faced Regensburg in the DFB-Pokal. They kept the shutout despite going with the backup keeper and won 3-0 on the road. Back in league play, Stuttgart hosted Union Berlin on Friday and Nübel returned to the starting lineup. The guests went up 1-0 at halftime and doubled their lead just three minutes into the second half. Nübel only recorded one save and had an error that led to one of the goals. Luckily for Nübel, his teammates went on a tear, scoring three goals and won 3-2. Franz Krätzig – VfB Stuttgart Krätzig was not on the bench for either Stuttgart match, nor was he was with the second team this week. Stuttgart will host Young Boys from Switzerland on Wednesday in the Champions League . They will also travel to face Wanner and Heidenheim on Sunday. Paul Wanner – 1.FC Heidenheim Wanner started for Heidenheim against Bayern at the Allianz Arena. He was never able to get into the match against his parent club. He did not get a shot off, nor did he create a chance for his teammates to shoot, and he only completed 71% of his pass attempts. He was subbed off in the 65th minute, shortly after both teams traded goals to make it 2-1. As we know, both teams added goals at the end to make it a final of 4-2 for Bayern. Heidenheim — sitting on five straight losses in all competitions — will travel to Istanbul to face Başakşehir in the Conference League. They will return to Germany to host Stuttgart and one or two fellow loanees on Sunday. Armando Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05 Sieb was on the bench for Mainz’ 4-3 road loss against Wolfsburg, but did not make it onto the pitch. Mainz will host Bayern on Saturday. Gabriel Vidović – 1. FSV Mainz 05 Vidović is listed on the injury report with an ankle injury and will be out late February. Spain – LaLiga Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Spain’s LaLiga. Bryan Zaragoza – CA Osasuna CA Osasuna had three matches this week. On Monday they were away to Sevilla, where Zaragoza started and played 77 minutes. He had one shot on goal from way outside the box, but did not create any other chances to score. He was subbed off just minutes after former Bayern-killer, Dodi Lukebakio scored an equalizer for Sevilla. The match would end 1-1. Although it was not noted that Zaragoza came off with an injury, he missed the Copa Del Ray match (where Osasuna scored three late goals on the road to win 3-2) and the league match against Deportivo Alaves (a 2-2 draw at home) and is listed on the injury report. He had surgery on his fifth metatarsal bone of his right foot on Friday. He will be out until at least late February. Austria – Bundesliga Lovro Zvonarek is the only player from the first team on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga. Lovro Zvonarek – Sturm Graz Zvonarek was on the bench for Sturm Graz’ 3-0 road win against WSG Tirol, but did not make it onto the pitch. This was the last league match before the winter break in Austria, but Sturm Graz will travel to France to face Lille on Wednesday in the Champions League. Germany – 2. Bundesliga Maurice Krattenmacher is the only player from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga Maurice Krattenmacher – SSV Ulm 1846 Krattenmacher started for Ulm on the road to Hannover 96. His teammate Telalovic scored the first two goals of the game — one on each side of halftime — and Krattenmacher assisted both of them to put them up 2-0. He also had one shot, which was blocked before it got on target. Krattenmacher was subbed off in the 80th minute with the score 2-2. Hannover scored a winner less than a minute later and won it 3-2. He came into the match just after Hannover II took scored two goals in three minutes to take a 2-0 lead. Five minutes later, Unterhaching pulled a goal back, but Adu and team could not find an equalizer in the final quarter hour — falling 2-1. Unterhaching will travel to face Armenia Bielefeld on Saturday. FC Bayern Munich II There are twelve players on loan from the second team. Germany – 2. Bundesliga Hyun-ju Lee is the only player from the second team loaned out to the 2. Bundesliga Hyun-ju Lee – Hannover 96 Lee started for Hannover at home against Krattenmacher and Ulm. After watching his fellow loanee assist two goals, Lee scored one of his own in the 60th minute to get the goals going for Hannover. This was one of four shots, but the only one on target. Along with his four shots, he also created four chances for his teammates to shoot, and completed 88% of his passes. He was subbed off after 78 minutes with the match level at 2-2. He saw the winning goal from the bench as Hannover won 3-2. Hannover will face Geruther Fürth on the road on Sunday. Germany – 3. Liga Max Scholze is the only player from the second team on loan to the 3. Liga Max Scholze – SC Verl Scholze was on the bench for Verl’s 1-1 home draw against Saarbrücken, but did not make it onto the pitch. Verl will travel to Munich to face 1860 on Saturday. Germany – Regionalliga There are six players Regionalliga teams: Lukas Schneller and Marko Popoic in Regionalliga Bayern, Luka Parkadge and Robert Deziel Jr in Regionalliga Nordost, and Yousef Qashi and Benedikt Wimmer in Regionalliga West. Lukas Schneller – Schweinfurt 05 Schweinfurt are on winter break until the first part of March. Marko Popovic – Türkgücü München Popovic started on the bench for Türkgücü but came on late to 0-0 match in the 82nd minute. They found a rare win with a goal in the first minute of stoppage time. Despite the win, they still sit in last place in the Regionalliga Bayern. Türkgücü will not return to play until February. Luka Parkadze – Altglienicke Parkadze was on the bench but did not make it onto the pitch as Altglienicke lost 2-0 to league leaders. Robert Deziel Jr – Altglienicke Deziel was also on the bench to start the match in Leipzig. In the first half he saw his team go down two goals in the first ten minutes and then down a man within 20 minutes. Deziel came in at halftime and was able to mitigate the damage. Although they did not let Lok Leipzig score in the second half, they still lost 2-0. Altglienicke will host FC Eilenburg on Sunday. Yousef Qashi – Wupertaler SV Qashi started on the bench for Wupertaler SV, but came in for an injured player in the 15th minute. He had to leave the match in the 55th minute after a teammate received a red card and he was sacrificed for tactical reasons. Benedikt Wimmer – Wupertaler SV Wimmer started for Wupertaler SV and played the full 90 minutes. When they went down a man, the match was level at 0-0. Despite being down a man, Wupertaler not only kept a shutout through 90 minutes, but also scored two goals to win it 2-0. Wupertal are now in their winter break until late January. Austria – Bundesliga Matteo Pérez Vinlöf is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga from the second team. Matteo Pérez Vinlöf – Austria Wien Vinlöf started for Austria Wien at home against Altach on Sunday. He only had one shot — which was blocked — and though none of his passes led directly to a shot, he completed all 20 of the passes he completed. He was subbed off in the 59th minute with his team up 1-0. Austria scored two more goals in the remain half hour to win 3-0. Austria Wien will not play a competitive match until February first — a cup game against Zvanarek’s Sturm Graz. Austria – 2. Liga Tom Hülsmann is the only player on loan to the Austrian 2. Liga from the second team Tom Hülsmann – SKN St. Pölten Hülsmann started in goal for St. Pölten at home against Florisdorfer AC. The guests put two goals past him, taking the lead each time, but his team were able to score to equalize and eventually scored a winner. Hülsmann had three saves in the close 3-2 win.
