U.S. women’s national team goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher announced her retirement from international soccer Monday, ahead of the team’s two European friendlies against England and the Netherlands. She said the European matches will be her last. A 2019 World Cup winner and gold medalist at this summer’s Paris Olympics, she will continue playing for the Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL . She re-signed with Chicago in September to play through the 2025 season, which will be her 10th season with the club. Advertisement For the USWNT, however, it’s the end of a major goalkeeping era. Naeher’s career stands comfortably in the top three amongst other World Cup winners Briana Scurry and Hope Solo. “Every tear shed in the challenging times and disappointments made every smile and celebration in the moments of success that much more joyful,” Naeher wrote Monday in her announcement on social media. “This has been a special team to be a part of and I am beyond proud of what we have achieved both on and off the field.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alyssa Naeher (@alyssanaeher) Naeher made her debut a decade ago in December 2014, and after stints as the primary backup goalkeeper for the 2015 World Cup and 2016 Olympics, she took over the no. 1 spot following that quarterfinal exit. Ahead of what could be her two final games for the United States, she holds a record 88 wins, 14 draws and only six losses through 113 appearances. “Having the opportunity to be a part of the USWNT for the last 15 years has been the greatest honor,” she wrote. “When I began this journey, I never could have imagined where it would take me.” She earned her 100th cap earlier this year during the W Gold Cup and cemented her status not just as someone who could save penalty kicks, but convert them as well. In the W Gold Cup semifinal against Canada, she buried her attempt from the spot but also saved three of Canada’s attempts — marking her as the only USWNT goalkeeper to make three saves in a PK shootout. She’d repeat the same double later that spring, against Canada, during the SheBelieves Cup. At the Olympics this summer, she once again stepped up to help propel the USWNT to their gold medal victory, including a poster-worthy save against Brazil in the closing moments of the gold cup game at Parc des Princes. Off the field, she bonded with the forward line of Trinity Rodman , Sophia Smith and Mal Swanson (also known as “Triple Espresso”) who pulled her out of her shell . GO DEEPER USWNT on goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher: 'We’re making her a little more mushy gushy' “We’re making her a little more mushy gushy with us, which I think is nice,” Rodman said in France. “We’re opening up a side that I think has always been there, but it’s hidden a little bit.” (Top photo: Joe Robbins / Getty Images)

Mutual of America Capital Management LLC Sells 4,719 Shares of Sensata Technologies Holding plc (NYSE:ST)LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Austin Seibert missed his second extra point of the game with 21 seconds left after Washington’s Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin connected on an 86-yard touchdown, Dallas’ Juanyeh Thomas returned the ensuing onside kick attempt for a touchdown, and the Cowboys pulled out a 34-26 victory Sunday that extended the Commanders’ skid to three games. Seibert, who missed the previous two games with a right hip injury, was wide left on the point-after attempt following a low snap. Thomas then took the kick back 43 yards as the Cowboys (4-7) ended their losing streak at five in improbable fashion. Part of that was the play of backup Cooper Rush, who threw for 247 yards and two TDs in his third start in place of starter Dak Prescott. Part was also the defense forcing two turnovers, as Chauncey Golston ripped the ball out of Brian Robinson Jr.’s hands for what was called an interception of Daniels in the second quarter, and Donovan Wilson stripped John Bates midway through the fourth. KaVonte Turpin provided the fireworks with a spinning, 99-yard kickoff return TD seconds after Daniels found Zach Ertz in the end zone and scored on a 2-point conversion to cut the deficit to three with 3:02 left. In the final three minutes alone, the Commanders (7-5) scored 10 points and allowed Thomas' TD. All that after the score was 10-9 through three quarters before madness ensued. Washington's playoff hopes that looked solid not long ago are now in serious jeopardy after losing to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Dallas. Before the scoring outburst late, much of this defeat had to do with Daniels and the offense not being able to find any kind of a rhythm. The Cowboys did, despite playing without their two best offensive linemen, top cornerback and starting tight end. Rush's 6-yard pass to Jalen Tolbert was Dallas' first third-quarter TD of the season, and his 22-yarder to Luke Schoonmaker came after Wilson's forced fumble. Daniels finished 25 of 38 for 274 yards, including his second interception of the game on a failed Hail Mary as the clock expired. Rico Dowdle ran 19 times for 86 yards to spring the upset for the Cowboys, who were 10 1/2-point underdogs on BetMGM Sportsbook. Cowboys: LG Tyler Smith was inactive with ankle and knee injuries. ... The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) made a significant arrest on Friday, November 29, apprehending a labourer named Dipesh Gohel for allegedly selling sensitive information about the movement of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) ships to a Pakistani agent. Gohel, a welder-cum-labourer who has been employed at Okha jetty in the coastal Devbhumi Dwarka district for the past three years, reportedly interacted with a woman using the profile name “Sahima” on Facebook about seven months ago. Superintendent of police (ATS) K Siddharth stated that the woman claimed to be an operative of the Pakistan Navy and paid Gohel Rs 200 daily in exchange for details regarding the names and movements of ICG vessels arriving at the jetty. The ATS had been monitoring Gohel after receiving a tip-off about his contact with a suspected agent of the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. Technical surveillance confirmed that messages from Pakistan were being forwarded to Gohel, prompting further investigation. Over the course of seven months, Gohel is alleged to have facilitated the transfer of Rs 42,000 through UPI transactions to the bank accounts of three friends, from whom he would then collect cash. Gohel has been charged under Sections 61 and 147 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertain to criminal conspiracy and waging war against the government. ATS officials stated that the information shared by Gohel posed significant risks to national security, given its strategic military importance due to India’s geographical proximity to Pakistan. This arrest follows another incident last month in which an individual was detained in Porbandar for similar spying activities. The ATS continues to work closely with the Coast Guard to enhance surveillance and address potential threats in India’s maritime zone.Charles Schwab Investment Management Inc.
