Joining William and Kate on the annual morning stroll at Sandringham in Norfolk yesterday were their trio of cheeky children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte , nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis . They looked just the part, each sporting a piece of clothing in forest green tartan to match their immaculately dressed parents. But despite their smart and grownup looks - the three little ones could couldn't resist sharing a few playful moments during the walk. As well-wishers eagerly waited to greet the Waleses on their annual walk, some of the most eagle-eyed of supporters spotted Princess Charlotte sharing a tender moment with her eldest brother, Prince George in a clip captured on TikTok by @justinazuk . As they walked through crowds of well-wishers, each of the three children were offered handfuls of chocolates, teddy years and flowers. During one moment, piled high with presents from generous fans, Prince George turned around to grab the attention of his sister. Pointing towards the crowd, Prince George said: 'She's got chocolate for you.' And Princess Charlotte and Prince George weren't the only adorable royals to have stoked a heartwarming reaction from fans. Onlookers were delighted when the notoriously cheeky Prince Louis was spotted beaming as he accepted handfuls of Cadbury's chocolate and teddy bears from well-wishers. In a sweet video yesterday, a very happy Louis had his hands full of gifts before another fan offered him a Father Christmas headband. The young prince accepted the headband, politely thanked the person who gifted it and returned to his father and siblings. Prince William, who was himself greeting well-wishers with enthusiasm, appeared amused by his youngest son's haul and said: 'You've got that as well'. The royal children looked just the part, each sporting a piece of clothing in forest green tartan to match their immaculately dressed parents But when the family started to move along the path, Louis appeared to struggle to keep hold of everything he had received. At that point, he returned to his father and sweetly asked: 'Papa, can you carry some?' George, who will start secondary school next year, was twinning with his father, Prince William in a navy coat and matching trousers, while his younger sister wore a dark green coat that was almost identical to Kate's Alexander McQueen number. Kate, meanwhile, stole the show as the future Queen exchanged warm hugs with royal fans, who appeared joyous at her return to Sandringham following what has been a particularly turbulent year for the Royals. The Waleses looked picture perfect as they arrived at Sandringham on Christmas morning, with Charlotte holding on to her father's hand. Prince George, walked confidently ahead of his siblings, while his younger brother Prince Louis refused to let go of Kate's hand. Fans had been queuing in Sandringham since Christmas Eve evening, with several people eager to wish Kate and the Royal Family a Merry Christmas after what has been a particularly difficult 12 months. Members of the royal family who walked to the service were greeted at the foot of the steps to the church by the Reverend Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams. Prince Louis, six, couldn't contain his glee as the young royal accepted boxes of Cadbury chocolates and stuffed animals from royal fans at Sandringham on Christmas morning Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis at Sandringham. The princess dazzled in a forest green Alexander McQueen coat, which she had previously worn during a visit to Leeds in January 2023. She teamed the coat with a matching fascinator and scarf, as well as a pair of black gloves and black boots by Gianvito Rossi to keep warm. The future queen carried a small handbag by Grace Han - as the she waved at the crowds outside St Mary Magdalene Church. Kate's beautiful new earrings with blue jewels and diamonds were by London-based jewellery designer Robinson Pelham. Her silky brunette locks were styled in soft waves, while her make-up was typically understated yet flawless. Crowds were given copies of the order of service, conducted at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, conducted by the Rector Rev Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams. Hymns included O Come All Ye Faithful, Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night, and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. The service also included The Lord's Prayer. Prince William said last week that he was looking forward to spending Christmas with 45 members of his family 'all in one room' as he attended a seasonal event for families of 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment, in his role as colonel-in-chief, in Bulford, Wiltshire. King Charles was also diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year, and the monarch is still undergoing treatment for the disease. As King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales walked into the church, the crowds could be heard wishing them a 'Merry Christmas!'. It is also the second time the Wales family have been seen together in public since their appearance at Trooping the Colour, the King's birthday parade, in June. Prince William, looked dapper in a navy coat and trousers, perhaps paving the way for his son's dashing style, with George wearing a similar ensemble to the future King. They were joined by senior members of the Royal Family including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall, as well as Princess Beatrice. Earlier this month, the Waleses and other members of the Royal Family came together for Kate's special Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey in London. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their two children Archie and Lilibet remained in Montecito in California, USA. For the Royals, festivities usually start when everyone arrives on Christmas Eve. The family open their presents, some of which are gag gifts - one of the Royal Family's traditions. The family then attend services at Saint Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas morning. Once they get home Christmas lunch is served, followed by afternoon games. Last month, over 100 female professional footballers from across the globe came together to criticise FIFAâs partnership with Saudi oil giant Aramco, denouncing the deal on environmental and humanitarian grounds. Now, following the United Nationsâ COP29 climate summit, the only African who signed the open letter, external has revealed why she took part in the protest. Former Nigeria international Ayisat Yusuf has described FIFAâs decision to work with Aramco as ânot justifiableâ, despite footballâs governing body stating that sponsorship revenues are reinvested back into the womenâs game âat all levelsâ. âFIFA donât have to take money above humanity,â Yusuf told BBC Sport Africa. âItâs very important we let people know that partnership â giving sponsorship to Aramco â does not stand for what our values (as female footballers) are. âOur values should be put first regardless of the money. Weâre just making our voice heard, for them to also reconsider and think about humanity, our health and our human rights.â Aramco, owned by the Saudi Arabian state, is the biggest oil producer in the world. Its three-year deal with FIFA gives it sponsorship rights to the menâs World Cup in 2026 and the Womenâs World Cup the following year. As well as criticising its negative impact on the climate via greenhouse gas emissions, the playersâ letter highlighted allegations of human rights violations by the Gulf kingdom, describing the partnership as a âpunch in the stomachâ and a significant setback for womenâs football. At the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, William Troost-Ekong made history as the first footballer to wear boots made from recycled materials at an international tournament. The Nigeria menâs captain is an investor and ambassador for the company which manufactures the boots, which are made of corn waste. The Al-Kholood defender believes that the sporting world should work harder to support global efforts on climate change. âSport is such a big influence around the world,â Troost-Ekong told BBC Sport Africa. âItâs not only about the players. We talk about the organisers of the big tournaments, the clubs, the owners of teams, and of course the fans â because those are the biggest numbers.âA step-by-step guide to renovating a neglected gardenMaresca led the Foxes to the Sky Bet Championship title last season before joining Chelsea over the summer. Leicester famously toasted their improbable Premier League success in 2016 with an impromptu bash at Vardyâs house. But the venue for last Aprilâs party was not at the strikerâs abode, but at Marescaâs house when the players turned up unannounced at 2am. Maresca recalled: âThe best present I had from last season was when we got promoted and they arrived at my home. All the team. âThis showed the connection between the players; they could go for a party at a different place but they all arrived at my home. It was a fantastic connection and I will always be thankful for them. âI was at home celebrating with my staff and my family and about two oâclock in the morning all the squad was there. We celebrated all together. Last night at Enzoâs đĄ đ pic.twitter.com/dqP8BFsDn3 â Leicester City (@LCFC) April 27, 2024 âWhen I was a player and I won things I never thought to go to the managerâs home. That shows the connection.â Similarly to when they clinched the Premier League crown, Leicester were not actually playing when they found out they were promoted after Leeds lost at QPR. âTo be honest I was at home watching the game and when it finished all the staff came over â and later the players,â added the Italian. âThey didnât knock on the door, they were in the garden and knocked on the window. What time did they leave? I donât remember.â Vardy might not be having a party at the end of this season but he is still banging in the goals at 37 and Maresca rates the striker even more highly than Englandâs two top goalscorers â Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney. âPeople donât realise how good he is,â added Maresca. âI know England have been quite lucky because of Kane and Rooney, this type of striker, they are fantastic. âBut Jamie is, if you ask me, the best one.â Maresca returns to the King Power Stadium for the first time with Chelsea on Saturday, but he will be without captain Reece James due to a hamstring problem.
NoneThe branded hotels sector will end fiscal 2025 with a double-digit revenue growth of 13â14%, according to a Crisil Ratings report. And, in the next financial year, the sector will witness 11â12% growth, it added. The study also stated that in the previous fiscal, the segment had registered 17% growth. The ratings agency pointed to domestic leisure and business travel as the primary drivers. According to the report, increased activity in the MICEâmeetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitionsâsegment, coupled with a pickup in foreign tourist arrivals, will add some boost. âThe domestic leisure segment will continue to drive growth on the back of rising travel aspirations and better regional connectivity. Further, a positive economic outlook and the government's âMeet in Indiaâ initiative to promote corporate events will support the business and MICE segments. Foreign tourist arrivals are also expected to surpass the pre-pandemic levels this fiscal,â Crisil Ratingsâ Senior Director Mohit Makhija said. These factors, he said, will drive up the average room rates of branded hotels by 6-7% this fiscal. However Makhija added, that âgrowth in ARRs is expected to moderate to 3â4% next fiscal as significant room capacities come up. These factors will boost the revenue growth by 13â14% this fiscal and 11â12% in the nextâ. According to the report, the adoption of asset-light management contract route will help pick up the pace of room additions further from last fiscal. As a result, supply will increase by 20% over this fiscal and the next. "As 60-65% of room additions, over this fiscal and the next, are being done through an asset light route, it eliminates the need for large upfront investment and helps navigate business cyclicality better," the ratings agencyâs Associate Director Pallavi Singh said. While Crisil expects the hotel industryâs operating margin to improve by 100â150 basis points this fiscal, it added that they should sustain at similar levels in the next year too. Crisil further said strong cash flows, asset-light expansion and sizeable equity raising will keep debt levels under check, hence, strengthening credit profiles. The report expects the number of branded hotel rooms to rise 8â9% this fiscal and 11â12% in the next. And, leisure and non-metro destinations will account for 65% additions. Of these additions, 25% will be in the top seven metros that offer scope for leisure and business activities. The upcoming spiritual tourism destinations will contribute towards the balance. âThe hotel industry is expanding more into non-metros and emerging leisure destinations as travellers seek more choices, and infrastructure in these regions improve,â Singh added. Despite these significant room additions, occupancy levels are expected to remain strong at 74â75% next fiscal, declining by a modest 50 basis points after increasing 100â150 bps this fiscal. The report noted that hotels will benefit from operating leverage, which in addition to effective cost management, could result in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation margin expansiong of 100â150 bps to 33â34% this fiscal and the next. Cost management initiatives could include higher adoption of technology and manpower rationalisation to move to a leaner fixed cost structure. However, it warned that a surge in airfares could affect leisure travel, while an economic downturn could result in a decline in business travel.
